The sound of quiet paw steps could be heard from inside the Warriors den. The fluffy gray tabby tom dropped the moss he had been carrying right at the mouth of the den. He raced back to the oak tree at the end of camp and picked up more moss, once again dropping the green bedding right at the mouth of the den. Sagekit repeated the process a few more times, until he was tired. Swampy green eyes looked about the area, and his fluffy, cloud-like tail lashed. No warriors seemed to be in sight, so he continued bringing back some moss. The adventurous kit couldn't wait to be an apprentice, and he had heard that apprentices carried moss around, so Sagekit had decided to do so, hoping that the warriors might recognize his work. However, the tom didn't realize that they carried moss for the elders' bedding, they did not leave it outside the warriors' den. He sat down, wrapping his tail around his paws.

Yawning, Hawkfeather got up from his nest. He stretched, arching his back. He glanced out of the den, then widened his eyes in alarm when he saw how late it was. He was getting lazier and lazier. Sometimes Hawkfeather wondered what warriors did to help their clan. He hunted, and all that, but everyone else was already hunting. Sighing, and shaking his head, he walked out of the den. Only to look down in alarm when he felt something soft under his paws. Was that...moss? Yes. Then he noticed the kit off to the side. "Hello. Who might you be?" He would ask about the moss later.

Sagekit had peered into the den when he heard a cat yawning. He quickly recognized the tom as one of the warriors. Now, he could barely sit still with excitement, thinking that the warrior would notice his work and praise him. "I'm Sagekit! Rosedapple is my mother, and I'm going to be the best warrior ever!" he meowed confidently, and as if to prove his point, pounced on the moss nearest to him and started clawing at it.

"Uh, yes." Hawkfeather watched as Sagekit clawed the moss. Maybe now would be a good time to ask about the moss. He glanced at the plentiful moss that the kit was playing in. It would be nice bedding once someone could bother to collect it and switch out the nests. Maybe he could do it. After all, he barely saw any appretices changing bedding now. Since he couldn't do anything else to help the clan, he could do apprentice duties. Which was humiliating, he had his own apprentice. But it would be unfair to force the job upon her. "So, did you bring that moss here?"

Sagekit watched the older tom glance at the moss, probably wondering what it was doing there. The kit's whiskers twitched, and his cloud-like tail waved excitedly in the air. However, when Hawkfeather didn't say anything, Sagekit realized he was lost in thought. He waited a while, until the warrior finally seemed to snap out of his trance. At his question, he nodded. "I got it and brought it all here. All of it!" he meowed.

Hawkfeather nodded at Sagekit. It was a lot of moss. He wondered how long it had taken Sagekit to carry it all there. He had obviously gotten up way earlier than Hawkfeather, just to take the moss to the warrior den. But what did he plan on doing with it? Maybe the kit had planned on leaving it there, and let an apprentice take it. But wouldn't he at least take it to the apprentice den? Slightly confused about the kit and his moss, he asked Sagekit, "What are you going to do with the moss?"

Sagekit sat back on his haunches, tilting his tabby head at the warrior. He was once again lost in his thoughts, and the kit wondered if that was a warrior thing. He shuddered. As much as he wanted to become a warrior, he didn't want to spend all day thinking. He wanted to battle and to show the other clans that Iceclan was the best clan of all! Hearing Hawkfeather's question, the tom got to his paws. "I keep seeing apprentices bring moss around, so I thought I would do something like it! But I don't know what they do with it..." he meowed.

Oh. Hawkfeather nodded in understanding. He was trying to act like an apprentice. Hawkfeather got up, a bit tired of sitting after just waking up. Unwillingly, he yawned again, and glanced at the moss. It was torn up in result of Sagekit clawing it. But it would still be good bedding. Grinning at Sagekit, he said, "Well, what apprentices do with it is use it to change bedding. They take out the dirty bedding, and replace it with the moss they collect." He wondered if a kit would be willing to do an apprentice duty. Sagekit might, as he had taken the time to collect all of that moss. "They usually replace the bedding in the nursery and elders' den. I'm sure Redstorm wouldn't mind you. He's always complaining about it. But then again, you might not want to do it, so you can go play with the other kits." Hawkfeather shrugged, and turned away as if disinterested.

(joining this thread :3 ) "IMSORRYIMSORRYIMSORR-" Thankfully I had perfected apologizing for crashing into another cat, whall I was crashing into the cat. My entire body crashed into the warriors side, honestly it was his fault for standing, and it broke me off from saying sorry. Both me and the other cat went crashing toward the floor from the impact.

Sagekit listened closely to the warrior's words. He scrunched up his nose at the thought of having to go back and forth to change bedding for the elders, but his swampy green eyes soon lit up, and he started bounding around once again. "I can take it to the nursery, or to the elders, or.." he went on and on energetically, naming every den he could think of that was in the clan. When he finally ran out of ideas, the fluffy tabby tom eyed Hawkfeather again. "I'm gonna take it to the nursery!" he declared, starting to roll up the moss into balls so they would be easier to carry. His ears pricked as he heard a crash, and he curiously watched Owlpaw.

I staggered to my paws, eyes flashing with devilish play. "Opps, sorry." My meow was cute and rebelish as I looked at the had knocked into. Then I flashed a evilish (not evil, evil, playfull evil) smile at the kit. 'Hey kit.

Hawkfeather yelped as something crashed into him. It was another cat, but since she was stupid enough to crash into him, he had deemed her as an 'it'. "Watch where you're going!", he snapped at her. Gingerly, and slightly waving his soft brown tail, he got up. He was forced to sit down again, just to groom down his now unruly and dusty fur. Barely glancing at Sagekit to answer him, he replied, "Good for you." Twisting to give his back one last lick, he was able to stand up again. It made him feel better. "Now, that was hardly an introduction. Who might you be?" It was directed to Owlpaw, of course.

I smiled rufully at the warrior. "You ok?" Avoiding his question of course, my tail swished playfully in the air. This cat seemed a little snappy, this would be fun.
