"Okay. It'll be easy; apprentices seem to like me." Mossfeather meowed sarcasticly. She didn't lnow any of the current apprentices, so she had no idea how they'd take it. Shrugging, she flicked her ears, lashing her tail. She wasn't good at staying still for long, and it was getting to her to say the least.
"Mabye it was because of what happened when I was a kit? Or perhaps it was because we never got around to it. Possibly because of what happened when I was an apprentice..." she triled off, listing off a few other options, eventually shrugging.

"I'm certainly not one to be good with younger cats," Maplefrost mused. It was half to herself, really. Her green gaze took in Mossfeather's restless tail. Clearly there were some things that would never change, with the younger cat's boundless energy and refusal to stay still being the first two that came to mind.
"Come on. I can see that you're loath to be stuck in here all day with idle chat. Maybe we'll go and set paw in this snow, hmm?" She didn't like cold feet, but Mossfeather seemed to enjoy messing around in the frigid precipitation. Hey, life couldn't be all serious, could it?

"I usually am, but not recently. The younger cats have become nothing but annoyance recently." Mossfeather inquired, her paws tapping as she sat up. She caught Maplefrost's gaze at her tail and quickly stopped it from tapping, feeling slightly embarassed.
"I'm sorry, Maplefrost. I hate sitting still." she appologized, flattening her ears. Hearing the older warrior speak, she instantly nodded, racing towards the entrance, stopping a few feet out. "You don't have to come that far out, but walking around it better." she meowed, kicking some of the snow.

She smiled gently. "It's okay. I remember what it used to be like to have endless energy. Of course, that only lasted for my kit days and some of my apprenticeship. Being able to keep hold of that enthusiastic nature so many moons later is good."
The long-furred cat rose to her feet, watching Mossfeather as she stampeded out into the snow. Maplefrost was a little slower to follow. She stretched before leaving the den tentatively, feeling the frozen droplets crunch beneath her wide, furry paws. The Maine Coon female raised an eyebrow at the younger feline. She flicked her tail, sending a clump of snow flying toward Mossfeather.

Mossfeather stopped, shrugging a little. "It's not that I have energy, but the fact I just can't stay still." she meowed, rubbing her paws at the snow. "Besides, I love snow. It was the first thing I saw other than Rosedapple all those moons ago." she meowed, recaling the time when she was a kit.
Turning around, she noticed Maplefrost's gaze, only to be hit in the face with a snow ball. Leaping back, she shook it off, smirking. "So, that's how it's going to be, huh?" she meowed, hurling some snow at the tri-colored warrior.

A grin spread across the senior warrior's face as snow hit her flank. She shook it off in mock indignation and swiped at the ground. More frozen powder flew through the air in the younger she-cat's direction. "What's the matter, afraid of a little snow?" Maplefrost questioned playfully.
Ah, it had been a long time since she felt like a kit again. Messing around once in a while was a good way to relax. Normally, the tortoiseshell was a bit too serious - yet she, too, had a good side.

Mossfeather laughed as the white, freezing snow hit her flank, falling onto the ground as she shook it off. "Who ever said I was afraid, huh?" she teased, pretending to be angry.
Swiping with her paw, she sent snow flying towards the tortiseshell, laughing as she padded back over to her. "I think my fur's gone thin. I'm kinda cold!" she laughed, jumping back as she sent a sneak attack of snow. It was good to have fun every now and then.

The senior warrior snickered. "Oh, fear the mighty Mossfeather!" she yowled in mock terror. Snow hit her shoulder, coating her thick pelt in frozen flakes. Maplefrost dislodged the snow with one paw and turned back toward the younger cat.
She dodged the next attack and purred. "I'm glad I have long fur. It must be pretty bad for everyone in IceClan with short fur," Maplefrost meowed with a sympathetic glance at her friend. "Just make sure you don't catch a cold, is all. I'd hate for you to end up with whitecough." She aimed a playful swipe at Mossfeather's ear.

Mossfeather snickered playfully, raising her head high. "Of course. All fear my amazing power." she meowed, laughing as she sat down. Giving her chest a few rough lookes, she nodded to Maplefrost, ducking away from her paw. "Oh, I'm fine Maplefrost. My fur ain't that thin." she laughed, running a paw over her ear.
Sure, her fur was kinda short, but not as much as some of the others. It kept her as warm as she needed, and she was fine with it. "Hey, you want any food? Mouse, vole, snow..." she trailed off, picking some snow up in her paw and dropping it on her friends head.

"Oh, good," she purred in relief. "As long as you're not freezing your tail off out here, that's not too bad." Maplefrost grinned at Mossfeather's next comment, and she shook out her tortoiseshell pelt to get the snow off her head. Feeling rather lighthearted for the first time in moons, the senior warrior rolled onto her back. She felt the chilly snow coat her fur, and wriggled from side to side for a few moments before leaping to her paws.
"Here, have a little snow," Maplefrost meowed as she pressed against the other female, pelt still laden with the white powder. "Speaking of food though, I wouldn't mind sharing something in the warriors' den while we warm up."
