A brown tom was laying on his stomach, his legs kicked back behind him and front paws curled under his chest. A thin chocolate colored tail snaked down from his rump and past his toes.
He was an apprentice now, and even more fiery than he used to be. Hoodpaw considered it as getting stronger. Others considered it as him getting much, much worse.
' But who cares what they think ? I do what I want. '
His olive eyes searched the den for the stirring figure of a cat boredly shifting in their nest with nobody totalk to, or a cat simply walking around, picking out a cat to socialize with. That would be his next victim. Or maybe, just maybe even his next friend. Not likely, but, eh, he could try.

Midnightpaw turned over in her nest. She couldn't get to sleep. She felt like she had been sleeping for days. She had barely had any training. She finally sat up, boredly. She hoped someone would notice her and talk to her. She had nothing better to do. She tilted her head and started walking around. She sniffed before she took a step so she wouldn't step on anyone's nest. She sat down again. was there anyone else to do something with?

Coralpaw woke with a hiss. "Watch where you're putting your paws!" she growled. She looked up and saw another apprentice. "Sorry," she meowed. The small she-cat sat up and looked at another apprentice, a tom. "Hi," she meowed. "Sorry about you know, hissing at you." she told the black she-cat.

The brown tom slowly sat up, looking down at the two she-cats that had a few second long spar. " Hello, " he meowed to the bengal she-cat. Why was she so small ? " I do believe your name is Coralpaw ? I've seen you around. I'm Hoodpaw. " he meowed softly, holding his 'sharp tongue' back for now. As much of a ' rude, immature tom ' he was called, he as determined to prove them wrong. Although, his sarcasm would come naturally. " As for the onyx female, I don't know your name. " The dark furred tom shrugged and turned back down to the beautiful bengal.

Midnightpaw jumped a little at the hiss rom the other she-cat. "Sorry," She said, "i'm..." SHe shook her head. She didn't have to tell them. They didn't have to know she was blind. She hadn't told anyone. "Never mind." She said firmly. "My Name is Midnightpaw," She said to Hoodpaw. "Nice to meet you. You too, Coralpaw." She smiled, hoping to make a friend, but not too many people seemed to like her.

"Hello," Coralpaw meowed warmly as she dipped her head. "Oh, and I have no clue why I am so small. One cat thought that I was a newbornkit!"

"Wow," Midnightpaw said, "You must be- I mean you are really small." Midnightpaw shrugged, "That could work to your advantage. Say your in a fight, you can run, dodge, and hide easily." she smiled, hoping Coralpaw agreed. "who are your mentors?" She asked.

"Thanks," Coralpaw meowed. What was she going to say? "My mentor is Cedarheart."

Eveningpaw padded lightly into the den, her pale blue eyes quickly adjusting to the change in light. She noticed a pretty onyx, with a look in her eyes. Eveningpaw knew that look. She would say nothing, though, about that. She looked at Coralpaw, narrowing her eyes. She noticed the way she looked at her brother. Ooh, Hoodpaw had a little follower! A smirk crossed her face.
"Hello, Hood," she greeted with a purr, padding up to the brown tom. She touched her nose to his cheek affectionately, and sat down beside him.
"Midnightpaw, right?" she asked, giving her a small smile.

Midnightpaw nodded as another voice asked her name. "Yeah, that's me." She smiled. She felt like she recognized this cat's voice from around the apprentice's den. She thought a moment, "You're Eveningpaw, right?" She tilted her head in the way she always did when she asked a question.

Coralpaw saw th way Eveningpaw looked at Midnightpaw. I wonder if she knows about my suspisions. Midnightpaw had told Coralpaw that she must be small. Not that she is small. She also walked around funny and it looked like Midnightpaw was looking at everything, but seeing none of it. Coralpaw sat beside her. "Are you blind?" she whispered.
