After many moons if staying in the shadows and keeping to the black, she managed to stay alone. Bumblepaw was an older apprentice, nearly the size of a warrior because of her long absence. But she was still an apprentice, so she had to act like one. Her beige pelt was still short and the cold winter didn't help either. Her brown eyes wavered, her paws stumbling as she tried to steady herself. She felt tired, overwhelmed, dizzy. Maybe it was just overworking and exhaustion. She hadn't been taking care of herself, so maybe that was he reason. Bumblepaw fell to her paws, her eyes foggy and unsure. She watched as a shadow walked up to her, but she was too tired and dizzy to see who it might be.

The smooth voice swallowed her, her eyes fluttered open slightly to look at her partner. "You.... Came back?" She asked him as she went to her nest. Phantomwhisper was her best friend ever since the old nursery was still there and Venomstar still reigned supreme. Her breath rattled as she tried to steady her head. It pounded against her skull and she felt as if she might implode.

"Pushy as always I see." She growled jokingly. Bumblepaw stared after him as he dropped a mouse and scampered off. She looked at the prey and realized the need for food. She dug in slowly but neatly. The savory flesh was nice, Bumble was so grateful to her friend. Licking her chops, she looked up as he returned with wet moss. Her eyes softened and her ears drooped slightly. Nonetheless she lapped up the water loyally without complaint. There was nothing to complain about anyways. "You don't have to do this you know... but thank you." She said her voice soft and whispery. She didn't pass out her gratitude lightly, but Phantomwhisper was always an exception.

Her whiskers twitched in amusement and she struggled to sit up. She inclined her head, "So what if I had died while you were gone?" She flashed back with a small tick of her tail. Bumblepaw ran a swift tongue over her chest, smoothing her pelt to a shiny gloss. She smiled wider as her ears perked to his starving stomach. Bumblepaw rose to her paws shakily, but successfully pushed up against the large tom. "I'm still hungry too." She said as she started towards the fresh kill pile. Her head didn't pound as mug and she was able to keep her feline grace in tact.

She smiled brightly as she sat down next to him with a vole. They has both been through a lot. Bumblepaw chewed on her vole as she watched him carefully. It was heartwarming to hear him like this, caring and whatnot. She'd do the same, in fact, he already had. Starving herself to a point if sickly fatigue and exhaustion. She would have finished if he had not come back. Bumblepaw paused, raising her head and staring ahead. She didn't really have a mentor anymore and she was so far in her training. She was practically a warrior now, but of course those were not the rules she abided by. "Sadly, I'd say maybe a moon." She said with a tone of forlorn and longing. She wrenched her claws into the hard stone, small clicks sounding as she dug them deep.

She glanced at him, "Tell that to Sandleaf or Hawkstar." She said laying her chin on her paws as she munched thoughtfully in her prey. Phantomwhisper probably would say something if it meant becoming a warrior faster. She had no beef with that but it was a little embarrassing, talking to high ranks. That always shook her nerves. She turned onto her side, letting the sun rays soak into her. At least they were back together, no more disappearing or getting sick. They'd both recover and be just as happy as before. She smiled faintly. She was happy knowing that.

Her eyes narrowed, "Do what?!" She called him out raising her neck. She swished her tail unamused. Bumblepaw had many habits, her harsh demeanor, her constant complaining, but she was a bit baffled at what Phantom thought of as funny. She glared at him expecting some sort of explanation.

She flexed her claws as she strained to remember such events. And it was deemed true. She did do it often enough. Sleeping included, to Bumble, this was a comfortable position. She growled lowly, rolling over and cuffing him upside the head like mother and her troublesome kit. Sometimes it did feel like that too. "You fox." She meowed out in a plaintive voice.
(It's fine, Im running low on muse anyways)

"Fish-face." She retorted as she got into a stance. She grabbed his paw, locking it in her jaws and locked her teeth around his bleach white paw. She gives a laugh and rushes at him, paw still in mouth.

They crashed together and she managed to regain her footing, but it seemed she was the fool. She looked back at Phantom with her tail. She rose onto her back paws, twisting around and crashing down at his head. It would force his grip loose and she would jump behind him. Her eyes shone brightly in a playing mood. she brought her paws down forcefully, shifting her weight to overthrow the tom.

Kicked off, she moved away, letting him crash into the brambles behind her instead of in her. She let out a yowl and climbed up the nearest tree in search of what she knew would aid her well. Her paws flew effortlessly over the branches and she soon found what she wanted. Bumblepaw gathered it up with a paw and poke a head to look at Phantomwhisper, "Gonna come up?" She laughed.

She growled in a musical tone, "Im not hiding." And with that she jumped down, her one paw holding something. It may be too far for Phantom to see. Bumblepaw smiled innocently at him and sat down, wrapping her tail politely across her paws.

She held it out silently. A small eight legged creature crawled innocently on her paw. It was small, no bigger than an acorn. It's body was grey with white ticks on its legs. Bumble thought it was quite cute. But she knew Phantomwhisper would think otherwise.

She tilted her head, her eyes growing warmer. She turned back to the tree, letting the spider crawl out of her hand and onto the bark. She turned back to Phantomwhisper with a sweet smile, "I'm sorry Phantom, but all those times you fooled me, come right back around." She sat next to him neatly, her head inclined proudly. "And it's even better because Leafbare doesn't have thunderstorms." she meowed triumphantly. Bumblepaw bumped him lightly, "But I apologize if I frightened you." she purred.

"You are such a bluffer." she said with a knowing look. "Thunderstorms are rare in leafbare, you and I both know that." she said pointedly. She purred thoughtfully and lowered her head. "Don't be mad Phantomwhisper, you've gotten me plenty of times." Bumble lashed her tail, a devilish grin on her muzzle.
