The little brown tabby blinked once as he stood in front of the warriors' den. It seemed huge, and much quieter than the nursery. Thornkit knew that he wasn't allowed in the den, which made him want to go more. So here he was. He quickly looked around him to make sure no one was watching, then crept into the warriors' den quietly.
Inside, his green eyes widened in disbelief. It looked even bigger on the inside than the outside. He stared at the roof as his little paws moved across the huge den. However, he was cut off from his route as his paws tripped over something, and Thornkit when flying. The kit scrambled up to see what he had tripped over. Oh no. It isn't a 'what'. Its a 'who'. He was going to get in trouble for sure.

Hmm. Was she not mad at him for coming into the warriors' den? Or was she just playing innocent for a while, and then get him in trouble? Thornkit stared up at the warrior in slight fear, partly afraid that she would get him in trouble with his mother and partly because she was huge in comparison to him, although he was unusually large for his age.
"Hello. I am Thornkit. What's your name?" He was scared to death on the inside, but he managed to make his voice sound as confident as ever. His bright green eyes shone as he got rid of the fearful gleam in it. Maybe this warrior really didn't plan on telling on him. Then he might be able to get his first friend -- a warrior.

Dawnlily could tell that Thornkit was scared but that name made her want to cry and she saw that he looked just like Thornpaw. She closed her eyes trying not to cry. She opened them again. I'm Dawnlily, she meowed sweetly. There's no reason to be afraid Thornkit I'm not going to get you into trouble or anything like that, she purred sweetly. She sense his fear like it was dripping off of him. Well Thornkit what do you want your warrior name to be? she asked hik laying down next to him and tilting her head to the side.

Thornkit, being the ignorant little kit he was, took no notice of the tears that the warrior tried to holding back. He gave her a smile when he heard that she actually wasn't going to get him in trouble. Good. Well, what if she's lying? The thought crossed his mind and a small frown appeared on his face. However, he quickly shooed it away. She was being nice to him, he wasn't going to be rude.
The little brown tabby's green eyes lit up at her question. So far, no one had bothered to ask him. "I want my warrior name to be Thornshadow!" He thought it was a really cool name, with a mysterious air to it. Except, mysterious didn't describe this bouncy little kit at all. Oh well. He still liked the name above all the other ones that he had considered.

Dawnlily smiled. That's a nice name, she meowed. She remembered that was what Thornpaw wanted as his name. Sadness gripped her again but she pushed it to the back of her mind. She sighed quietly. Well who's your mother? she asked him. She would die if he said Rosedapple.

[oh god. i totally forgot that thornpaw had the same mother xD] The little boy noticed the warrior's quiet sigh. What was up with her? Why was she sad? Oh well. He would ask after he answered her question. He wondered if Dawnlily had the same mother. Then he would've gained a big sister. But, maybe not. Maybe that would be better ... eh. "My mother is Rosedapple." Thornkit boasted. He was quite proud of his mother.
Then the boastful look fell from his shining green eyes, as he opened his mouth to ask her the question. "Why are you sad, Dawnlily? Is it because of something I did?" He was worried that he was going to lose this potential friend because something he did had made her sad.

Dawnlily's eyes widened. Well I know that we're not siblings, she meowed.
She sighed/ The reason I'm sad is because you are just like a cat that I loved who has now disappeared. He's been missing a long time and you are just like him, she meowed with a smile crouching down to his level.

Thornkit tilted his head to the left, a bit confused. It was a bit hard taking in the information. There was someone alive before him, who was exactly like him. And this warrior had loved him. Like ... it was like he was a clone. No. That was a disturbing thought. He was a regular kit. Born to one of the clan queens. He was not a clone.
"I'm just like him? How? Do I look like him? Do I act like him?" Thornkit was interested in finding out more about this tom, who was exactly like him and had disappeared a long time ago. This could actually be fun.

You look just like him and you want the same warrior name as he did, but now he's gone, she meowed with a small sigh. (Lazy)

Thornkit nodded slowly. "So I'm guessing his name had to be Thornpaw." His green eyes slightly widened as realization struck him. Soon, he would take on the same name as Dawnlily's lover. That would be slightly awkward. Especially if he ended up being her apprentice. [meh. i feel lazy too.]

Thornkit tilted his head again, a question forming in his mind. "Dawnlily ..." He began the question slowly. "I'm almost an apprentice. Can you be my mentor?" The she-cat seemed nice, and besides, she was the only warrior that he knew.

Of course I'll be your mentor, she purred. And you'll be my first, she meowed sweetly.
