[Clawfur]

Clawfur's kit hadn't said a word. Her other sister had been speaking little words still learning of course but Mintkit hadn't said a word. Maybe the odd squeaky noise but no words. She marched the kit into the medicine cats den and called "Forestbreak! Clovepetal!" and waited

[Mintkit]

Mintkit looked exasperated with her mother as she padded slowly behind Clawfur. Clawfur seemed worried about her kit, in which this was whom. Stretching out with her mind slowly, Mintkit let out a deep breath, as if trying to be calm with her mother.

[Forestbreak]

(Did you sort things out with Moo about the kits, Claw?)

"What is it this time?" Forestbreak muttered, sticking her head up from her nest. Ears pricked, her head swiveled around until she laid eyes on the kit and her mother. Dipping her head to both, she stepped out of her nest and padded to the duo.

"Is this your kit?" she questioned, looking down at the young cat.

[Clawfur]

(From as far as I understand yes)

"Yes. The others have began talking but she only ever says the odd squeak. barely. I think there is something wrong with her" she told the medicine cat

[Mintkit]

Mintkit flicked her ears in response, her expression blank as she stared up at Clawfur. Then, the kit turned her attention to the medicine cat, not appearing to be interested in the medical field. She seemed...rather bored by the current scene. Mintkit flicked her tail tip once, and glowered at the ground silently.

[Forestbreak]

"Mm. There are a few things that could be wrong: she could simply be a bit of a late developer, which is fairly common, or I suppose it's a possibility that she could be mute. If she's mute, though, the causes of the muteness will almost certainly lead to other problems, since it either means a deformity of the mouth or throat or some problem with her brain." Forestbreak flicked her tail thoughtfully.

(tl;dr I don't recommend that your character is mute because it's super unrealistic, Owl.)
