(Private; Oakfall and I only.)
The senior warrior blinked open her eyes in a panic. It was a little before dawn, and she'd been quite startled by a dream. Already the details were slipping away. However, she recalled something about dying... then she had been trapped in Darkpool, unable to escape.
Maplefrost gave a shiver as she stood up. She padded over to the den entrance and peered outside, still shaking off the last fragments of that dream. To the tortoiseshell's amazement, a fresh snow must have fallen overnight. White flakes still drifted down here and there. Hopefully they would stop once the sun rose.
Deciding that she didn't like the idea of getting to work when the mountains were icy and there was no light, the feline prowled back over to her nest, inadvertently trodding on a tail-tip that she had failed to notice. She winced and settled down in the nest - maybe the cat hadn't woken up.

Oakfall murmured softly in his sleep, he always had a hard time falling and staying asleep nowadays. He was woken up very easily. So when something stepped on his tail, he sprang to his paws and looked around. "Wha-?" He meowed.
The marble Bengal sat down in his nest when he realized that they weren't being attacked. It was probably another Warrior. He thought. He flicked his tail angrily, he wouldn't be able to go back to sleep now.

She flinched when the tom leaped up and glared about the den. Oops. Maybe he did notice after all. As Oakfall spoke, Maplefrost blinked guiltily. "Sorry. That was me. Didn't mean to trod on your tail, I promise - it's just a bit dark in here." She frowned and noted that this was a newer warrior - the tortoiseshell hadn't seen him before. "I'm Maplefrost," she murmured, almost out of force of habit when seeing someone new.
The senior warrior didn't think she could get back to sleep either. Not after those dreams of dying and being unable to escape - she didn't want to go back to that. Stifling a shiver, Maplefrost sighed. This was not a good start to her day.
