Falling into Hell (o)

[Sunmist]

Sunmist sighed as he laid down in his warm nest. He had been on a Border Patrol and then went on a Hunting Patrol. He hadn't eaten yet but would probably get something to eat later, after everyone else had eaten.

The orange tom put his head down on his matching paws and slowly closed his blue eyes.

He woke on a grassy cliff. There were rose bushes all around him, with all different kinds of roses. Yellow roses, Pink ones... Red and even White. He smiled and took in a deep breath, he loved the smell of roses.

Suddenly, he heard a loud cracking sound. His eyes went wide and he started running to get off the Cliff, but he couldn't move. The cliff broke and he fell...

Sunmist bolted awake, just before he hit the ground in his dream. He was sweating and his heart was racing. "Ahh, bahhe, lugg." He gasped for breath, his tail flicking from side to side frantically.

Silverstripe had just gotten back from hunting. Three mice, and a rabbit which had strayed across the border. Though she didn't like rabbits, food was food. And the clan needed it. She quickly put it on the fresh-kill pile. The sun was lowering in the sky. And Silverstripe noticed that even with the prey she had brought back, the pile was low. Should i go out again? She had been hunting since dawn, and her paws felt like they where going to come off. She had brought back barley anything. She sighed, she would take a small rest than go out again.

With all these patrols she hadn't had much time to think about what to do in her life. It was a mess right now, but she didn't want to think about it. It just brought confusion to her. She sighed, and padded into the warriors den. She heard a cat gasping for breath. Her insist thought was to go and help. She ran to where the noise was. She saw a orange tom, she laid down beside him.

"Whats wrong? Are you ok?" She asked him with worry.

"I-I..." It took Sunmist a moment to calm down. He took a few deep breaths before answering her. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine." He told her, "It was just a scare...." He meowed.

He smiled, "Thanks for checking on me." He said, "Most cats just don't care." He snorted, "I could have been dying and they probably wouldn't of cared." He shook his orange head slowly, "Anyway, I'm Sunmist." He meowed, "What is your name?"

Silverstripe smiled at the tom. Relief flooded over her that the tom was ok. Even if she hadn't known the tom, he was still part of her clan. Even if he wasn't they where all cats weren't they? "No problem" She told the tom. She nodded as he told her his name was 'Sunmist' She liked his name. "I'm Silverstripe" She told the tom, with a smile. "It is great to meet you Sunmist!" She said with a purr.

She realized tat for once she wasn't thinking about her dumb life. She smiled, and shook her head from those thoughts. This would be her one time she wouldn't have to think about it. Every other time, she didn't really have a accuse. This time, thankfully she did.

Sunmist sat up and nodded, "Nice to meet you Silverstripe." He smiled, "I can tell why they call you Silverstripe." She was a silver she-cat with darker silver stripes all over her. He blinked, "Aren't you friends with Stormflash?" He asked, memories seeming to come back to him. The younger tom was his mate Cloudbreeze's little brother. He liked the tom, he was fun to be around. Actually, he had just went on a Hunting Patrol with him earlier.

Silverstripe smiled at the thought of her best friend. "Yea, since kit-hood. I can't believe how much time has flung by since than though!" She purred. She remembered back when she was a apprentice, she used to have a crush on him. Not anymore, all they where where friends. But best friends. She turned to Sunmist "you know him?" She asked the other tom. Stormflash knew many cats, so it wouldn't surprise her if he did. Stormflash knew everyone! She smiled at the thought

"Yes, I do. In fact I actually just went on a Hunting Patrol with him, Stonepit and my Mate earlier." Sunmist told her, his blue eyes brightening at the memory. "He's a good cat." He mewed.

Suddenly, memories floated back to the orange tom. "Oh! I was at your ceremony!" He meowed. "The Medicine Cat did it... Right?" He asked, his whisker's twitching.

silverstripe remembered back to her cermoney. She nodded "Yep, though i didn't really mind that he did. It was better than nothing, i had been a apprentice for a long time. So i was just happy to get my cermoney at all" i purred to him.She understood that her mentor was really busy. What warrior istn't? "Do you have a apprentice?" she asked Sunmist.
