This is a rough draft of Chapter one of my book! Tell me how it is!
Chapter 1, Why Humans Tend to be.. Humans
Face it. All humans down to the core are the same. While many can be kind there many mean, corrupt, ambitious people out there. Why is this so? It all goes back the human will to survive. This wanting to live alone can override anything else. This leads to ambition to fare better than others. This causes many to expend others in order to rise up in the Social Caste and to live a prosperous life. This causes odd and often behavior, even among the normally kindest people.
This leads to another discussion, why different styles of Government work. In a Capitalist Democracy people are free to rise and fall how they wish. They can rise above others in many ways which is why I think this system was liked. I understand that Socialism and Communism were once liked very much so at one point since you could avoid corruption in one’s government. Even better, you can earn the same amount of money as the next guy. It is an ideal system. There would be no desire to prevail above others if you have the same as others. The downfall of Communism primarily is someone has to distribute the money. Well guess who does? The government. So the government has all the power and all the money. This means the officials can pocket money meant for others leading to more corruption. It is a shame such a good idea went to waste.
Speaking of money, who doesn’t like it? I like spending money occasionally but there really is no use for it. Bartering is a much more effective system since you can’t be ripped off. Personally, I feel if you take money out of the equation, you can eliminate greed with also kills the Capitalistic lust. Still money adds to that wanting to prevail. I stare at people enviously that have the newest, up to date technology such as the new I-Phone and the latest tablet. Even though there is no real need for those we want them to appear better off than the competition. Money is also influential. One look at money can change anyone’s interests and even their morals and ideals. Let us have an example of what money can do.
Let us say our friend Casper is homeless and without a penny. One day, a stranger goes up to him. As he holds up a bag of illegal substances, he offers to pay Casper well if he sells them. Casper’s is very hard and it is hard to get by. He knows it is ethically wrong but he would rather being in a nice warm apartment in some nice clothes with a source of income than on the streets freezing, broke, and in rags. Honestly who wouldn’t? It turns out the guy was a member of the Police Force. Now Casper is arrested. How can you do this to a poor, broken man? Well the guy wanted to bust ‘Drug Dealers’ possibly or he was just one of the few Dirty Cops that are in every state. He is in Court with the Officer and both are guilty. The real guilty one is the Cop. Guess who is really in trouble though? Casper. Yes he got his warm home and some new clothes, an Orange Jumpsuit and a Jail Cell. It’s a shame instances like this happened all the time. It just shows how low some can stoop to rise.
Now I imagine you the reader are horrified at this or simply disgusted. What I want to say is what people don’t understand at times is their own arrogance and need to live better even if they already have good, prosperous lives is ridiculous! I am not trying to bash owning nice things. By all means if you want the latest Gaming Console, be my guest. I am more writing this to make you consider the many factors that will be discussed in this book as you pick either discount everything since the Economy has taken its toll on you like everyone else, or Sixty dollar steaks like most people enjoying Upper Class living may be doing.
You know what I really do like? Attention. We all do admit it. Humans like attention. It makes them feel wanted in this world, welcomed, and happy to be here. Still there are those that are Anti-Social. They like avoiding attention. Why are some extroverts while others are introverts? Hard to say honestly. There are many factors in such complex things. Some people could fear crowds so they tend to talk to few people to avoid their Phobia. Maybe, they were bullied heavily in school and have a good deal of trust issues and prefer to pick people carefully. Some people just plain don’t like others. There are many more reasons to being anti-social so I will go back on task. Attention just makes you feel good. Especially attention from those you are attracted to. Then you just feel warm and fussy inside and maybe a bit embarrassed. Still attention can be good in bad. You know you have the wrong kind of attention though if you are staring at a gun barrel. That is all bad. We also need more attention. We need friends which leads to the next part.
