Gamma didn't know it yet, but his shaking, bloody body had somehow made it into the medicine den. Or the entrance of it, at least. He was temporarily blinded by his swollen eyelids refusing to open, and so he didn't even know he was in RockClan, actually. Well, he knew that it smelled of strange cats and that a strange cat had comforted him, but that was it.
The rogue had been in a fight and received three blows to the neck and multiple blows to his face. He'd then stumbled to the RockClan camp and collapsed there. His wounds were bleeding profusely, and had been for a while.
"Help," he moaned, the first word he had uttered in a while.

I looked up from sorting herbs, sneezing. I turned to the cat, expecting a clanmate. But that wasn't the case. It was a different cat! This cat was horribly injured. And I didn't care if this wasn't a clanmate. CloudClan made me a medicine cat to heal anyone. I ran up the strange cat and sniffed his pelt, looking at each wounds. Without hesitating, I ran back, grabbed marigold, cobwebs, alder, burdock, coltsfoot, comfrey (You never know when you need a lot of herbs!), goldenrod and dock leaves. Then I set to work.
I mixed the goldenrod together and applied it to the strange cat's wounds. Then I chewed up some dock leaves and rubbed it on the cat's wounds. Then I nudged some of the herbs back and got out poppy seeds and left the cobwebs out. I searched for some honey, which would soothe the cat's throat, and also because the taste of honey helps most cats calm down. Gently, I set out a leaf with a bit of honey on it. "Eat this," I meowed. "You'll feel better. And after that, eat these poppy seeds." I wrapped up some poppy seeds in a small leaf and left out two for the cat to eat. After that, I sat next to him and started covering his wounds in cobwebs. "Is there any other injuries I should know about?" I asked.

As his eyes became gradually less swollen shut, the blurry image of a reddish cat swam in his vision. He felt his wounds sting, but it was better than the harsh ache that he'd felt before. Before he knew it, some thing were put in front of him, and he was told to swallow them. Normally, the rogue wouldn't have dared to trust another cat to feed him leaves, but he obliged and swallowed them down. The one with the sticky, sweet stuff on it tasted pretty good.
"Where am I?" was the first thing he croaked.

I gently spread more cobwebs onto his wounds. "You're in the RockClan medicine cat den. My name is Snakefang, young one. I am the medicine cat apprentice." I sniffed around for anymore wounds, and found one. I put cobwebs on that gash, and then realized that he was all healed. He was going to be alright...Whew. "You'll be just fine, my friend. You just have to stay here for a while. You can stay with me a for a few days and recover your strength. I promise you'll be fine...I just want to know what your name is."
I rolled my herbs back into the corner where I kept them and went back to the new cat.

"R-RockClan?" he muttered. He'd always lived right next to DeathClan, and of course he'd heard rumors that there were other "Clans" out there, but being inside one?! He stood up quickly, but then fell over again, wincing.
"B-but- you all eat bones! How- why are you healin' me?" he cried. "Don't you Clan cats just shred us rogues?" He stared at the "medicine cat" mournfully.

I paused. Then I started to laugh. "My friend, those are only rumors!" I chuckled. "That's what we spread to keep kittypets away. They're quite annoying, I'm afraid. Some are even bold enough to venture into our territories, so that's why we spread them. We respect every cat, but we need prey for us. Our Clan is big and growing. If we allowed kittypets to hunt, then that would be a disaster." I went out of the den for a second, then came back in with a hawk in my jaws. "Try some of this. I'm pretty sure you'll like it." I set the hawk down. "And, you've never told me what your name is, my friend."

Runningfeet and been pacing at the entrance of the medicine cat den for sometime. She could not help, but feel a strong worry in her stomach that would not leave her alone no matter how hard she tried to think of a different topic. It was about the rouge she had discovered outside in Rockclan territory. She found in grave shape and he seemed only a blood drop away from death. Runningfeet knew she should not be worried about a rouge, but that was just her. She was to kind and carrying to everyone, it was a curse she told herself many times over and over.
Taking a deep breath she turned towards the den entrance and began to padded towards it. A shadow grew on her pelt as she slipped inside. Her eyes took a moment to adjust then she saw that Snakefang had patched up the rouge and he looked in better shape. "Snakefang, I am sorry to bother you, but I was worried about the rouge. How is he?" Runningfeet didn't dare take another step inside so she stood at the den entrance not wishing to upset the tom with her rude entrance.

I looked up at Runningfeet, then nodded. "He'll be alright. But he must stay with us for a while before he goes back to where he came from." Unless he wants to stay. I thought silently. But there was no reason to get my hopes up. Rouges were tough and independent. They would probably rather lick mouse-bile than have someone else care for them. But this one didn't complain, I realized with a shock. Any other rouge would have bitten my nose off for helping them. Strange. Maybe there was something different with this one...
