Snakeclaw walked in, carrying a rabbit for the two medicine cats. They were basically warriors in their own way, yet sometimes, fighting warriors didn't respect them. Snakeclaw grumbled to himself about younger cats, unable to respect the healers of the clan. They deserved everyone's respect for their hard work, and the pressure of knowing they could never have a family. So, every so often, Snakeclaw came in to visit Clovepetal and Forestbreak.
He had no idea where the two medicine cats were, but he decided he should leave the rabbit where it was, sitting next to the two nests. It was fresh and warm, and Snakeclaw hoped that the medicine cats would like it. But still, it was kind of tiring to eat rabbit everyday. It felt good to sink his teeth into a mouse every once in a while, but those were a bit scarce on the praire. Snakeclaw's stomach rumbled, but he still wasn't done with his job. He set the roll of moss down (which he had been carrying under his chin) and started to work on the nests.
...
After a while, Snakeclaw nodded. Fresh bedding and a meal. Now, if only Snakeclaw could get the apprentices to do that more often...Snakeclaw purred in amuesment and turned to go.

Clovepetal burst into her den with a bundle of herbs locked in her jaws. She had been out gathering herbs to restock her den. Even though there hadn't been any wars or raids recently, there happened to be many cats stepping on thorns or some other nonsense.
However, when the Head Medicine Cat entered the den, she did not expect to find somebody already occupying it. She had known that Forestbreak wasn't there, and they were usually the only ones in there, so who could it possibly be? After a second was taken to overcome her surprise, she dropped her herb-bundle, shook out her wet pelt, and grinned at Snakeclaw.
"Hello, Snakeclaw! Why have you decided to visit on the fine evening?" She asked, adding her natural sarcastic inflection when mentioning the weather. It had actually started to drizzle a bit faster due to the wind now.

Snakeclaw grinned back at Clovepetal. "Nothing much, just decided that your bedding was getting a little stale. I brought you a rabbit too, which can be a little tiring to eat sometimes." Snakeclaw purred in amuesment. Rabbit was pretty much what everyone in FireClan ate. Snakeclaw noticed that Clovepetal had been out collecting herbs. 'Out in this weather?' The big tom thought with surprise. But then he remembered.
Medicine cats had busy lives. They were devoted to caring for their clan. This is why Clovepetal had been out in the rain. Feeling sorry for the medicine cats, Snakeclaw secretly prayed to CloudClan that all cats would treat them with absolute respect. "I'm no medicine cat, of course," Snakeclaw meowed. "But I think you should rest. It's cold out there." Then he blinked. Seriously?! Okay, when did he start this medicine cat talk?

Clovepetal gave a shy smile. "Thanks for the concern, but it's just a drizzle. Besides, it's easier to pull the roots out if the soil is wet!"
"Besides," she said while dragging the rabbit to her freshly made bed, "I'm barely 25 moons old. I'm fit enough to go traversing through the rain!" She took a few bites out of the rabbit before walking over to her herb storages to sort out her newly harvested herbs.
"So," the Head Medicine Cat began, "how have you been?"

"Quite fine," Snakeclaw meowed. He watched the medicine cat sort through her herbs with intrest. That had to be a LOT to remember, and Snakeclaw knew he could never do it (Actually, I can XD I'm Snakefang!). He frowned as he looked at each herb. Which one was...didn't the medicine cats use cobweb? He couldn't even tell which was which. In fact, he couldn't even name one off the bat! (...Derp).
Snakeclaw watched some more, then broke the silence. "I was wondering if you could take a look at my bad leg. It's been hurting lately, and I think I might've slept on it a few nights ago." He stretched out his right leg, and winced as pain shot through his bones. "If you could, please." Snakeclaw bent down awkwardly and groomed his leg just a little, then sat up straight again. He remembered the accident all too well: Hawkbreeze and him had gotten in an argument, and Snakeclaw had saved Hawkbreeze from a Twoleg monster, but not without getting his right leg ran over.

Clovepetal immediately snapped her head towards Snakeclaw. "Why didn't you tell me you were hurt?" She asked the tom in a high-pitched voice. The medicine cat padded over ,abandoning her herb count, and sat down to examine his leg. "What exactly happened to it?" she asked, looking up at him from her crouched position over the hurt apendage.

"Relax, Clovepetal!" Snakeclaw laughed. "This happened seasons ago. Many, many seasons ago. It got ran over by a Twoleg monster. It's just been aching a little bit lately, but that's all. Nothing major. It happens every so often." He shrugged, drew a paw and licked it casually.
(Can't really think of anything else to say!)

('Tis fine! ^_^)
Clovepetal relaxed a little, but still padded over to her herb stock to see what she could do about easing the ache in Snakeclaw's leg. Nervously, she realized that she didn't really have anything for curing old wounds, so she did the best with what she had. The red she-cat washed her paws in the waterhole near the back of the den and proceeded to the herb storage.
"The best I can do," she told the tom, "is to make a cure out of a bunch of different herbs." She named the ingredients as she went along. "One elder berry, for regaining the strength in your leg; Comfrey, which is normally used to mend broken bones, though it should be useful in this situation as well because of its soothing effects; And maybe a bit of goldenrod as well!"
Carefully, she crushed the elderberry with her paw, chewed the roots of the comfrey into a poultice, and used a whole stalk of goldenrod to chew into a poultice. Finally, she mixed the ingredients together and placed the mixture in front of the black-and-white warrior. "Here, this should help!"
