This, kitties, is where you can get a story from Firelight, because I'm usually ignoring the threads you make. Not that I feel bad about it. I have no conscience. I just. Be grateful. Muah!
Firelight actually looked somewhat presentable today.
Yes, that's right. She had groomed her fur, and nipped tufts of tangles out of her pelt, and flattened her ears back. This was the day, Firelight decided, that she would rid herself of those felines that had an impeccable need for stories. She had so many, but they were for her to dwell on, and her alone.
Stepping into the sunlight, Firelight blinked, taking in the scenery. She was just barely on the border of her den and the camp, and she didn't intend to go any further, just far enough that the kits could see her.
In a puddle from recent rains, she glanced down at her reflection. Sure, it wasn't completely clear, and somewhat muddy, but she smiled, or, smiled for what a cat could. She had been restored to her former glory, didn't look a day past senior warriorship. And that's when Firelight thought about it. She wasn't really all that old.
Well, who was she kidding?
Firelight was hideously old.

Poppykit felt the cold breeze hit he pelt. She wanted to get far away from the confines of the nursery. It was quite crowded and loud, and well Poppykit hated being stuck in crowded places. It was really squished and difficult to breath. She took a look around her at the fireclan camp.
It was quite crowded itself. Poppykit looked down and licked a peice of her fur that was stuck up. Her calico fur was know groomed nicely. With a sigh she moved on. Poppykit thought a little. What to do, what to do? She did not want to spend a day with Darkstar, nor did she want to sniff herbs.
Finnaly the kit decided on a nice story with Firelight, or at least the tiny she-cat hoped. She stared with her hazel eyes at the dark gloomy den, she realized one day she would live here too. With a quick step she stepped in.
"Hello, Firelight? I was wondering if you could tell me a story so that I would have a reason to stay out of the nursery." she said almost muttering the last part.
