She was getting to the age where soon, she would have to share a den with ... oh cloudclan. Fireoldtail and Shadowoldtail[ aliveordead ]. WHY! WHY IS THIS WORLD SO CRUEL! Slithering into the den she crouched low and looked around at the old den filled with cobwebs and mouse bile and ... elders. Shuddering she looked around for her old two friends.

Firelight was sound asleep, or, at least, she was. She stirred, glancing upward, looking around in haste for her assailant. Her jaws gaped in a yawn, and she arched her back, twisting each paw in a deep stretch as she arose to her feet.
"Leopardripple? Come in, my dear. How can I help you? I heard about your quarrel with Snowflare. How very unfortunate. "

Leopardripple looked to see her friend Firelight and sighed "Why? Why did you birth such monstrous of a soul. That cat is not you in any way." she mewed as she crawled to her friend. The senior warrior kept a sharp eye for Shadowoldtail, the punk could hop out of no where and send her flying into the wall. No really, hes done it before.

Firelight purred, "He isn't in here, Leo. Don't worry about that."
She rested her tail on her old friend's shoulders and sighed.
"That was a long, long time ago. She shouldn't even know I'm her mother. I've also heard you're staying with Sparrowfur in the nursery. How's that? You know you can always stay in my den, right? There's plenty of room."
She laughed, softly, but solemnly . |

"I tried staying in here .. but then I freaked out cause I felt a spider touch my nose and I ran out. But itd probably be better if I stayed in here. In the nursery I want to kill both Clawfur and Snowflare. Life seems to be getting worse and worse as I get older, nothing but hell happens" she mewed then nodded her head "But past that matter, how have you been?" she asked.

Firelight edged further, running her tongue over Leopardripple's forehead.
"And it's only going to get harder and harder, sweetheart. Love is an unfair game unless you play it right, there are always going to be players, you just have to learn to be the coach. And my life has been the same as it has been for the past six seasons. Just getting older and older. I almost feel like I'm going to run out of time here soon."

"Ahh, maybe I have yet to leave with haste, then. Any death would be better than sharing a den with the two of you young rascals."
She always had a flair for the theatrics.

Firelight shrank away, purring with an amusement she hadn't had in quite some time.
"Oh, it really is good to see you, Leo. I'd forgotten how good it is to have some company. But I do think you should consider not holding a grudge against Snowflare. She really isn't that bad, and I'm sure she didn't know she was doing you harm."
