Silverpaw slipped into the den, holding moss for his bedding. He made his nest, and brought in some pine needles to replace the stuffy smell of moss. (Silverpaw loves the smell of pine trees) He settled into the nest, and felt a cold breeze blow into the den. He felt lonely. Most of his friends were back in the nursery. Then, he remembered his friend Wisppaw, and looked around the den.

Coralpaw, sleeping in the shadows, woke up and blinked her golden eyes. She looked around the empty den and spotted a new cat. The Clan always seemed weak and empty, and it was a relief to see some new cats. "Hi," she meowed as her lean shape emerged fromt he shadows.

"Hallo." said Silverpaw, still looking for his old friend from the nursery. He sighed and settled into his nest. "Coralpaw, isnt it? Ive met you before, when I was a kit." he said, hoping the pine smell wasnt bothering anybody.

Jaypaw sauntered into the den with his own stack of moss for bedding. A generous amount of feathers and bracken were also in the patch of green. The young calico tomcat claimed his place at the side of the den entrance, so that his mentor could easily call for him.
Jay settled down the materials he needed for a nest and set to work. He shaped the fresh moss in a rough circle shape, big enough for him to sleep in. He lined it with feathers and bracken, to add more comfort and warmth. A big grin appeared on his face as he observed his work.
The sound of voices struck his interest. Jaypaw's ears twitched, head turning around to see a she-cat and a tom, one he knew as Silverpaw. Naturally friendly and out-going, Jaypaw padded over to them. He waved his tail in greeting.
"Hi guys. I'm Jaypaw, who're you?"
His tone held politeness and a certain cheeriness that would most likely be connected to a kit rather than an apprentice. The calico-tabby feline didn't care.

Silverpaw was lost in thought, something that happened often, when he heard Jawpaw, the apprentice who was at the ceremony. "Hallo, Jaypaw." Silverpaw said, debating whether or not he had enough pine needles to be satisfied. "Enjoying your neww den?" he asked.

"You know," Coralpaw meowed. "You do look familiar." The bengal she-cat sat down and licked her paw.

"Remember the last few times someone offered you a catmint leaf, and there you go." He chuckled.

Silverpaw smiled. "Have you seen a cat named Wisppaw around here?" he asked. "She is one of my friends from the nursery."

Coralpaw thought about it. "No, I don't think I have," she responded.

"Oh well. Thanks anyways." He murmured, settling into his nest. He took in the sweet smell of the pine needles and laid his chin along the rim of his nest. "When do you think my training will begin?" he asked

"Mine started a sunrise after my ceremony," Coralpaw answered. "Good question though. I'm not sure when yours will start. Who's your mentor?"

"Willowtail." Silverpaw answered. His eyes were half closed as he rested, the comforting smell of pine trees blowing in and out of his nose. It brought dreams of the forest, under a starry night...

"OK..." Coralpaw thought as her thoughts drifted away, she settled into her nest, and fell asleep.

She meowed kindly, letting herself come in gently. A lot of new faces she seen just now and nervous she felt a little but thats okay. Waving her brown striped tail she went to her spot and sat down..
''I'm Flowerpaw.'' She said shyly.
