One of Snakeclaw's favorite activities was coming to the elder's den and nearly getting his ears bit off by Firelight. So, that's what the black and white tom was doing today. As he padded over to the Elder's Den, he froze. Oh CloudClan! I forgot a snack! Now she'll really kill me! Snakeclaw thought with panic. He whirled around, bounded over to the fresh-kill pile, and got the biggest rabbit of the pile. There. Firelight wouldn't shred him as bad.
Snakeclaw paused at the entrance. Do I really want to get my paws taken off today? ...Yes. Yes I do. Snakeclaw let out a mew of greeting and respect, and then went into the Elder's Den, the fat rabbit swinging from his jaws. "Firelight?" He meowed quietly. "I brought you a rabbit, the freshest one, too." It was best to give Firelight all the nutrition facts so she didn't kill him. He had been through this before. Make sure it was fresh, reasure Firelight that it was fresh, then get his ears clawed off. All in one day. He deserved an award for finding out how to have a seemingly harmless chat with an elder and come out with ears missing.
