Blazepaw felt his neck fur rise as the two she-cats began to quarrel. "Guys, guys, calm down! Fernpaw, I didn't mean it that way, and I'm sorry. Heatherpaw, can we pretty please be a little nicer to people we just met?" he purred, humor glinting in his olive gaze as he looked back and forth at the two. "At this rate the apprentices' den with become a battle ground-- or at least more-so than it already is."

Fernpaw closed her eyes and sighed. It's ok Blazepaw, she meowed quietly. She looked up again at Heatherpaw and then Blazepaw. A small smile replaced her angry snarling face after Blazepaw told her to calm down. Her blue orbs shot from one cat to the other.

Heatherpaws growl still lingered after she drew back from her almost lunge at Fernpaw. Heatherpaw was usually a sweet cat, the sudden personality drift was unexpected and inside, scared her more then her fathers unexpected leaving. "Whatever." she sighed rolling her eyes and giving the bigger golden brown tom a shove on his shoulder. Her eyes returned to Fernpaw with a still glare."I Wish my dad was here." she muttered bitterly under her breath her gaze lingering to the tom beside her.

Fernpaw closed her eyes and turned her head away. Your not the only one who wishes that, she mumbled remembering her father practically telling her he hated her and that he never wanted her. She turned her head back with sadness in her eyes. Looks like we have one thing in common, she meowed getting rid of the sadness in her eyes and face and showing zero emotion again.
