A medium sized apprentice waltzed into the den, his eyes gazing around it to search for a nest. He purred as he saw an empty near the back. Trotting over to it, he saw another apprentice, undetermined sex and appearance. It was just there. Kind of creepy. The tom dipped his head and pranced over to the nest that had caught his eye.
"Loyal day, is it not?" The apprentice meowed with his slightly thick accent. Flicking his tail, the tom forgot to mention his name.
"My name is Maskedpaw, and it would be rather wonderful if I could have your name."

"I know who you are birdbrain, we were at the ceremony together. in case your probably forgot, I am hollypaw." her voice was soft, yet every word was tipped with fine pronunciation as her big emerald eyes carried their steady gaze from his pelt to his eyes, a small indignant smirk plastered upon her ginger patched face. long patched tail giving a swing of acknowledgment to him.
she gave a large pounce, her average sized body leaping with surprising steady, to lead a stumbling landing, yet she still gave him a dignified look. "You settling well?"

Maskedpaw was speechless. What a bold cat. I mean, I'm not going to boast or any of the such, but Maskedpaw was one of those cats who had a naturally large build, getting it from his father. The tom's white ears flicked, a surprised expression knitted into his face. Taking a step back, the apprentice searched for words.
"Pardon me, Hollypaw. The shadows skewered your feminine features of your slender body. It's quite hard to tell who is who in the dark. But...um, I suppose I'm settling well. There's not much to these dens, is there? But, nice to meet you...again," Maskedpaw purred towards Hollypaw, his eyes twinkled with mischief and humour.

"you talk so sophisticated." she meowed with humor in obvious rule of her tone. "Hmm, who is your mentor, I cannot quite recall, being up in front of the clan like with was terrifying, I just cant wait to learn how to hunt, battling is on the contrary. I mean, I like being powerful, but sometimes cats take it much above the needed line and, I'm not ready for that." her eyes for a moment gave weakness, peering own, then snapping back up with attention her gaze straight to the tom ahead of her with a smirk.

Maskedpaw felt flattered when Hollypaw commented on his speech. He gave a half smile, laughing lightly.
"My upmost apologies for being so...fancy so to speak. I-uh, oh. I'm doing it again, aren't I? My mentor? Well, it's my father, Coldstep. Hunting seems spiffy, but I do want to learn how to battle. Just think. Your standing on a large rock, the wind blasting through your fur, cats are below you fighting to their wits end, and alas! There ye be, ready to save and die for your clan! But, having a nice and quiet life is always quite well," Maskedpaw sighed, invisioning the battle scene. Ah, what a life that would be.

"Oh, your changing my mind Marsk-" she purposely mispronounced his name. " I like that. Marsk. I'm 'unna call you that. Mr. Marsk." He purred with a biased adorable cat half smirk taking a quick lunge for his bigger grey shoulders. Her long tail swirved in a quick agile help, her big emerald eyes showing her openness. She actually took a liking to this cat, he was cool. " I like that sound of that. When I'm leader, you can be deputy."

[I'm a terrible person for neglecting this thread for so long. FORGIVE ME DEAR WOMAN.]
Maskedpaw laughed slightly, shaking his head. Liftiing a paw up, Hollypaw pounced again, this time nearing his chest. The dark gray tom took a small step back to relieve any awkward tensions that he knew would spring up.
"Call me anything you like, amore. I do not mind. And what? Who says that you'll be leader? If anybody should be leader, it should be I! I am more graceful than thou and I have proper speech!" Maskedpaw purred, teasing Hollypaw as his blue eyes gleamed.

{ naw, its finee. }
The evenly proportional aged she-cat curved her body, a cat smile plunged on her face as she assumed she had won until he profusely threw his fancy words across the den. "Proper speech cant win a war. Proper speech cant catch a mouse. Proper speech cant give life." she meowed softly, her emerald eyes looked at him with a wining half smirk, and another lunge, except in the opposite direction, and back. as if it was play. "Your turn." she murmured, play in her eyes, a rapscallion she was.

Maskedpaw bit his lower lip, thinking hard.
"Ah yes, but it makes you sound much more clever than your opponent. When you toss insults and taunts at your enemy, it will make them blind to reality. And besides, battling doesn't soothe your clanmates. Hunting doesn't give them hope when they are near the brink of losing. And birthing doesn't help get you a mate. A female is always soft to a male's soft words, if he chooses the correct ones, am I not right?" Maskedpaw leaned in real close to Hollypaw's face as she lept back towards him. Amusement faintly glimmered in his eyes as he lowered his voice to a whisper, narrowing his eyes as if he had caught the juiciest prey.
"Fire away," Maskedpaw winked and pulled away, lifting his muzzle in mock victory as he examined Hollypaw with determined blue eyes.

Hollypaw drew back slightly, surprise and a matching determination in her big emerald eyes. She had a sleek pelt, and beautiful ginger patches through her short soft white fur and a gentle trot, but she was certainly enjoying their entertaining chat.
Hollypaw sat down and soaked it in for a moment, all the words he had said. hm, love wasn't a very appetizing subject formally, but she was willing to give him her thoughts on it, since he was a charmed fellow indeed. time for Hollypaw to become the intellectual one. "Don't get me wrong, love is fine and all, but I would never fall for such a feeling. such as jealousy, or pure anger, maybe even hatred, I'm just not capable of taking that stuff in. I would be a most valuable leader because of my ease of seeing through thick subjects like that, rage, or hatred. I can interpret your feelings by the twitch of your tail, and how best I should handle your feelings. as for battling and hunting, words arent involved. Words cannot feed you, they can threaten, hurt, make someone happy or joyful. but it is all in the mind. If you aren't healthy in the mind, your body certainly wont be.. so I can see your point. but as for talking fancy, its just communication, a fatal thing sometimes." she ended with a solemn meow and a kind cat half smile peering up. "but enough of this battling over the importance of it, I think we should train together sometime. I'd like to see yours moves." She almost laughed, the twitch of her whiskers giving off her happy face.
