Guys, I promise this is real. I'm warning you, it is spooky!
One day, I woke up, deciding that since I had recently purchased a Game Boy, I should visit some yard sales to find a Pokemon game. After several minutes of searching, I came across one sale that was set up in front of an old rickety house. An old man that appeared to be at least ninety years old stood in front, smiling. I like smiling people; the world needed more of them. So I got out of my yellow Corvette, realizing that the sun was hot. But I did not care, for it was a yard sale, and surely they must have some old Nintendo games.
As I walked up to the house, I smiled back at the man. I noticed that he was covered in several hundred scars and was missing an eye. "What can I do for you?" He said. I asked him if he had any Pokemon games, and he said he had just the thing inside his house and he would be right back. As I waited for him to return, I noticed something strange- a flash of crimson in the corner of my eye. Spooked, I turned around, only to see it was a Cardinal bird flying by.
The man returned from the house, carrying an ancient, dirty, dusty, nasty, beat up, and scratched, copy of Pokemon Gold. Where the title of the game should have been on the cartridge was just a black smudge. Eager and excited to relive my childhood, I asked him how much it was, and he said it was free. As I said thank you and walked away, I thought I heard him whisper something, so I turned around but he was gone. Again, I saw a flash of crimson. But it was just another bird.
When I arrived at my apartment building, I grabbed my Game Boy, and slammed the cartridge into it. Immediately, the game boy start up happened, and I selected "New Game" from the Pokemon Gold Menu. I started the game, but Professor Elm was not talking about Pokemon. The game had skipped that, putting me in the Lavender Town Tower, even though it was the beginning of Pokemon Gold. Suddenly, I saw my character bleeding and an extremely deafening noise came out of the game boy. I checked my Pokemon in my inventory, and it was 6 Unown that spelled "YOU DIE".
I immediately took the cartridge out of my Game Boy and threw it away.
