[sorry about any double letters that may come up where they aren't supposed to be or when a word is missing a letter in it. My keyboard is terrible on my phone]
Shadowpaw strode into the den whom he thought was the Medicine Cats den.. who ever that is... and sat down in the middle of the den. The reason he was in here? Oh yea.
Shadowpaw had been having difficulty seeing but only in one eye. Of course it was a no brainer with the deep scars he had over his left eye. Well for that point, he had deep scars all over his pelt. Most of them were pretty deep and were probably infected though. Anyways, sometimes when he was hunting or just doing anything his vision would just taper off to one eye and he would have to shake his head or something to clear his head. But it only did that when he would be concentraiting on something. His eye was starting to cloud up and it had started a little blueish but not terribly noticeable.
His black pelt rippled under his muscles and he frowned. The den seemed rather.. well empty. He sighed and waited for any body to show up.

Forestbreak was behind a rock. Why, you ask? There was a large boulder in the corner of the den, with a few deep grooves in it that Forestbreak used for storing liquids- honey, water, etc.- and she was squeezing more water into one of the empty grooves. Hearing pawsteps, she pricked her ears and hopped out from behind the rock, her crooked jaw stretched into a smile.
"Hello, Shadowpaw," she mewed, recognizing the apprentice. Hadn't he been a non-Clan cat at some point? She didn't know the tom well, so she wasn't quite sure. Her ringed tail swayed from side to side as she padded towards him.
"What can I do for you?"

A grey tabby she-cat came out from behind a rock, with the sweetest scent clinging to her pelt. Shadowpaw smiled and flicked a nicked ear. All the scars he was covered came from a few squabbles he had been in before he had even come to the clan. The black tom noticed her jaw and wondered who had caused the mark.
"Hello Forestbreak" he dipped his head at the grey she-cat, "I was wondering if you could do anything about blindness?..... And my scratches are infected I think. I'm not too sure." He asked, cocking his head to the side.
Shadowpaw straightened his head and his vision went M.I.A. in hi left eye. He shook his head and pawed at his face until his vision cleared a few moments after. He looked at Forestbreak with a 'see what I mean' look and licked a paw that had a severe scratch on it. He set his paw back on the ground and shook out his pelt.

Forestbreak sighed, staring sadly at Shadowpaw. "I'm afraid... not. I can't fix eyes- they're very delicate things. I can suggest some things that'll make loss of vision in one eye easier, but no, I can't fix it." She brightened as she mentioned his other wounds. "Yes, yes, they do look infected, but I can heal them," she said, relieved. "In the future, if you get the smallest notion they're infected, come to me immediately. Infections are likely what caused your blindness."
Forestbreak took some marigold and goldenrod from her herb store and quickly chewed them into a poultice. Carefully, she began applying them to Shadowpaw's cuts. "This should speed up the healing and get rid of the infection."

"Oh, ok. Ill make sure to tell you next time. If my vision gets any worse ill come in as soon as I can." He meowed softly.
His heart sunk, she couldn't fix his eyesight? But surely she had a cure? She had said no, but later on he'd ty to discover one. Even if he knew nothing about herbs. Shadowpaw looked at his pelt with the poulice now covering his infected scars. He dipped his head in thanks and blinked his deep hazel eyes. Shadowpaw's black pelt slowly disapeared from the den. His paws plodded towards the entance before disapearing. It was going to be a long apprenticeship

Forestbreak sighed. The poor child. She hated having nothing she could do for him. Well, he seemed strong, so he may be able to make up for it if he worked hard. Dejected, she padded towards the back of the den, tail drooped and head down.
