Windpaw sat in her new nest. It was kind of nerve wracking being an apprentice, but she was still really excited for training. Although she was really scared too. What if she failed? What if a monster got her?
She looked around. This was something she needed to talk about with her buddy. Where was he anyways? She hadn't seen him since the ceromony. She decided to look for him.
If you aren't sure who he is then that would be Slypaw. He was Windpaw's best friend for sure. They had met as kits and one thing led to another and then they were friends.
Windpaw wanted to know how he was feeling. If he was worried about something, if he had made any other friends, maybe even if he had any crushes. That would be interesting to know.
Windpaw stood up and looked around the apprentice den. Just call for him. The voice said and she shrugged. It wasn't like she'd be waking anybody up yet.
"Hey Slypaw you here?" She called out and waited to see if she could spot him or if he would answer. She flicked her ear a little bit too as a couple other cats looked her way, but didn't say anything to her.

Slypaw heard a familiar voice call put for him. His head popped and his eyes scanned around the den. He spotted Windpaw. He never talked to her in forever. He missed her a lot. The last time they talked was when they were kits. He wondered if she changed since. She looked a little bigger. They both grew ever since. He smiled at her. He got up and walked towards her. He plopped down by her. Hey. He said with a bright smile. I never talked to you in forever. He said. He tapped her nose with his paw. A wide smile spread onto his face.

Windpaw smiled when she spotted him walking towards her. He didn't look like he had been mauled by anything so at least that was good, and he was here so he wasn't dead, that was good too.
Windpaw realized that he had grown since the last time they had talked. Well of course he had. The last time they had talked had been when they were kits. If he hadn't grown she would have been surprised.
Windpaw laughed and nodded her head. "I know. It seems like we lost contact for a while. That's okay though. Neither of us died so we're good." She joked with a smile.
"So tell me what happened in that time period. Did you do any training? Meet any new cats? Get a crush?" She laughed at the last line and flicked him with her tail.
Windpaw looked at her friend again. She was glad that he hadn't just forgotten about her. She had kind of feared that he might, for it seemed that he had gotten other friends as well as her. She still had only him.

Slypaw smiled at her and laughed a little at her last line. His mentor hasn't train him at all, so that's a bummer. Did he meet new cats? Yes, he did meet Redpaw. He didn't know if they were friends or not. Blackpaw was still his friend. So far so good. Crushes. He didn't really want to talk about that subject. My mentor didn't train me yet, I met Redpaw, that's pretty much it, and I don't think I have any crushes yet. He said grinning a little. He wondered about her too. How about you? He asked her.

Windpaw smiled at his answer. "I know Redpaw. I wouldn't call him my friend just yet, but he's pretty cool." She stated. She didn't know the cat well enough to call him her friend.
When he asked her she thought for a second, but then answered rather quickly. "No training yet, I haven't even met my mentor actually. Which kind of sucks." She meowed then continued.
"I did meet a few new cats. There's Deerkit, who I met at the ceremony, and Rootkit too, who I just met a day or two ago." She told Slypaw. She liked to be talking to him again.
"And no crushes really. I'm just not the lovey-dovey type I guess." She meowed with a shrug. It seemed absurd for her to have a crush when the only toms she knew she either didn't know well enough, or was her best friend.
She flopped onto her back. "And I also got over my fear of outside." She informed him. He probably didn't even know she had been scared of outside. And she wasn't, not really, just scared of the monsters that lived outside.
"We should go hunting together someday." She thought out loud. Then turned to him. "Like, we should get a warrior to come with us into the territory so we can go hunting."
Usually Windpaw wasn't so talkative, but she was just so excited to be talking to Slypaw again that she just rambled on. Once she got all the big stuff out though she'd be more quiet.

Slypaw nodded in understanding. Don't worry I didn't get to met my mentor either. He said smiling. He didn't know who Deerkit and Rootkit were. No crushes. That's good. They were to young anyway. Fear outside? He didn't know she was scared of the outside world. He knew she was scared of something, but he never found out what it was. At least she got over her fears. Hunting together sounds cool, even though I didn't even learn how to hunt yet. He laughed. He didn't know what to say now. Maybe they could do something. Do you wanna play a game? He asked.

Windpaw laughed. "Well then we can go into the territory and scare all the prey away with our terrible hunting." She giggled and smiled some more. She really had missed him.
She fell silent when he asked if she wanted to play a game. For a second she had her poker-face on. All serious and stuff, and then she rolled over and onto her paws and nodded.
"Of course I do! So what game is it today?" She asked him. She wasn't sure what to play. Maybe tag like last time. Or they could play-fight. Or maybe he had something else in mind.
Her blue eyes shone with an unseen light as she waited to hear his game of choice. She was excited to show him that she wasn't as clumsy as she was when she was a kit. Still clumsy, but lesser than last time.

Slypaw didn't know what to do. He didn't really care. But he tried to break the habbit of being indecisive. How about truth or dare? He asked. He played this game with Blackpaw. He thought it was pretty fun. He had to either eat a fly or tell his crush, so he decided the second one because he didn't have the guys to eat a disgusting fly. It was fun though. He waited for her to respond.

Truth or dare? Windpaw knew how to play. It should be fun so she nodded. "Never played it, so this will be a first, but I get the jist of it." She mewed.
She wondered which one of them went first. Would he want to go first? She wasn't sure. She knew that if she went first she'd probably choose dare because she was going to be brave and do whatever he told her to do.
Windpaw was trying to be more brave. She didn't want to be a wimp anymore and who knew maybe truth or dare would be the thing that made her brave. Windpaw laughed at her own thoughts and how silly they were.
"So who will be first?" She asked him. Windpaw didn't want to pin him with anything and nor did she want to just assume that he'd be okay with her going first.

Slypaw smiled as she agrees to play. Don't worry it's not that hard. He said nudging her lightly with his paw. A bright smile showed on his face. You can go first, so I can be like an example for you. He said. He caught on fast. As he said before, it wasn't that hard. She didn't have to be worried. Or was he just over exaggerating? Maybe he was. He should stop being so protective ovef her. Well they were the best of friends. They were like brother and sister. He'll do anything for her.

She could go first. That was nice of him. "So truth or dare?" She asked him. Or was she misunderstanding and he was supposed to ask her first? She didn't know.
Windpaw suspected that this would be fun though. She waited for his answer and tried to think of a her questions at the same time. What would she ask him if he said truth? What would she tell him to do if he said dare?
Windpaw was quite indecisive so this was just a big jumble in her brain, but she was used to it so it didn't matter and she was already excited to see what he would choose.

Slypaw didn't want to seem like a wimp like last time, so he would like to pick dare. Dare. He said smiling. He wondered what she would dare him to do. Something interesting probably. He hoped he didn't have to get dared to eat a fly again. At least he slipped out of that dare easily. His tail swished on the ground like a broom, scuffing up dust. His blue eyes continuing to focus on her. He cocked his head slightly to the side. His smile turned into a small grin.

Dare okay. That shouldn't be too hard to think of one. Although it also probably wouldn't be the best dare. She had to think of one that would be a semi-good dare at least.
Then she had one. "I dare you to run around the den and act like a bird for ten seconds." She told him and laughed a little. It was a funny dare rather than a gross one.
She looked at him and waited to see if he would actually do it. She didn't want to force him to do it, but it would be funny if he did. She decided that since he chose dare she would too.

Slypaw smiled at her choice. It didn't seem that hard, but it was embarrassing. He didn't care that much. He ran around the den squawking loudly like a bird. He couldn't help but giggle. So far only 7 seconds. He then ran back to her continuing to squawk and tweet. He stopped in front of her and pecked at her. Then the 10 seconds were finally done. He stopped and bursted into laughter.

Windpaw watched him run around the den and squawk like a bird as well a tweeting. It was quite hilarious actually. She was laughing almost the whole time he did it.
When he came back he pecked at her she giggled and batted his ear. That had been funny. "So now your turn to ask me." She meowed then guessed she could just say what she chose now.
"I choose dare by the way." She told him. She wondered what he'd tell her to do. She wondered if it would be embarrassing or gross, or if it would just be weird. She try to complete it either way.
