Birdwing padded back into the warrior's den from hunting. She had caught two voles and a plump shrew. Her limbs ached so she layed down in her nest. She licked herself a bit. No one was in the den. Still patrolling., she thought. "Is anyone done yet?", she asked.

A large jet black tom slipped into the den. The growing shadows made him appear even darker then he really was. He was a massive tom, larger then most toms, his muscles ripped as he step after step. He had large fangs and sharp white claws. He was seemed built for battle. He could inflect powerful blows that could take lots of flesh, but he was really slow, this made him easy to attack, but he was hard to bring down. Because of this, many looked upon him with fear and distaste. Still, some stood out from the others and greeted him with warmness. He had good family and a few friends and looked at him with different eyes.
Nightfang turned his head and rested him bright amber eyes upon Birdwing. He showed no emotion towards her and then turned away. He made him way to his nest that was placed to Runningfeet's. The scent of his sweet sister reminded him of their days within she would come and see him. Play with him and protect him from the other kits that teased him for being so big.
Stepping into his nest he patted it a few times then laid down. He brought his legs close to his belly and curled his tail so it cover his nose that was brought close to his chest. Nightfang was tried from the many patrols he had taken to cover for some warrior who seemed to go missing or where out sick or just too weak. Having a great deal of stamina it hardly affected the tom, but lately he found himself unable to sleep. He would just lay awake and gaze at the den entrance, waiting for the sun to slip in.
