My eye

I came running into the den as fast as I could. " Waspwing my left eye! Please help! My friend scared it when we where playing! It stings and hurts! Do something!" I was scared out of my mind. " It's me Shadekit/Shadepaw!"

Fernpelt crossly looked over at the kit. Couldn't the little ones learn the sheathe their claws? Reluctantly heading to the herb cache, she observed the kit from the corner of her eye. It wasn't that much of a scratch, but she could tell the kit thought it was. She gathered some cobwebs and marigold.

"Here, let me put this on," she said, moving the kit gently into a better position to apply the poultice. His eye would be absolutely fine, as long as he didn't get into any more "playful" fights. "Be careful," she cautioned.

" Thanks Fernpelt." I said as I walked out of the den. My eye still stung. I was about to put my Paw up to it. Then I remembered. ' No touchy touchy!' so I walked on.
