The little she-kitten stood with her wide paws and bushy tail in front of the looming apprentices' den. In reality it was only a few cat-lengths tall, but to her it stood like the grandest oak in all the forests. It almost seemed to live itself; the slight creak of brambles settling, the rustle of cats tossing about in their nests. Someday soon she herself would join them, by she felt that she should stay a kit for awhile longer.
Today; Moth was calm, she was reserved and collected. Today, she would see her brother and also his friends, had he made any that is. She stood tall, her pelt neatly groomed and her eyes bright. Spending that morning preparing herself for that chatter she may endure or the incidents that may present themselves, she would deal with them all!
Her blue-green eyes glanced around once over, giving the outside decor a swift judging. It was just the same as every other day, the only difference was the noise. Her large ears could easily pick up idle conversations and even small feuds of silly subjects. The warriors' den was always filled with snores, soft giggling occasionally, but mostly just the silent breath of slumber.
She took a hesitant step forward, her patience was growing thin on herself and she shook herself. No; even if he wasn't there she could still occupy herself with another's company. If she was ever to associate with her clan, she should start small. The nursery had the newest generations, but they were all either too ignorant or she had already met them.
Moth had had enough. She padded in, the light dappling the ground with sunlight as it reached through the den's roof. She looked around, no one was around to see her and she was in fact a bit surprised to see that no soul could be seen. Her head tilted to the left slightly and she opened her maw slightly as if to say something.
No sound came out.
Moth sat down, curling her fluffy tail about her white and grey paws, her eyes illuminating slightly as they adjusted to the dark environment. If she was to wait, she may as well get comfortable....
