[Spokensong]

Spokenpaw sat in the sun, feeling its warmth envelope. She looked around and only saw a few apprentices. 'Most of them must be training,' she thought. It was still Spokenpaw's first day, so she didn't have a nest yet. She wondered what it would be like having a mentor and training...

[Ivyleaf]

Ivypaw Smiled when she saw Spokenkit. "Hello!"

[Spokensong]

Spokenpaw saw Ivypaw out of the corner of her eye. She seemed to be greeting Spoken. Spokenpaw turned and smiled to Ivypaw as she neared. "Hi Ivy! Um...where do you get a nest and all?" she mouthed a bit confused. Spokenpaw knew she was supposed to get a nest, but she didn't know where.

[Ivyleaf]

Ivypaw Nodded. " Just choose a nest that doesn't have a scent on it. Like that one," She mewed, pointing to a nest close to hers.

Flashpaw watched the two with curious eyes, her long tail flickering only slightly in irritation. She had some weird ear problem at birth where she seemed to be hard of hearing at times. This was one of them. She could hear some sort of voice, but she couldn't make out words. I'm eventually going to become deaf. she thought to herself.

[Spokensong]

Spokenpaw nodded with a smile and padded over to that nest. She sniffed it curiously. It just smelled like moss. Nothing else really. Not a cat at least. "Well, this one seems ok!" she mouthed to Ivypaw. She was about to add something to that sentence when she sw another apprentice just watching them. Her eyes flicked back to Ivypaw as if she hadn't seen a thing. "Ivypaw, I think we have a watcher," she mouthed. Spokenpaw gestured over to the apprentice who seemed to be watching them in a curious manner.

[Ivyleaf]

"Oh yea, thats Flashpaw. I just met her." Ivypaw mewed.

[Spokensong]

"Oh, ok." she mouthed relievedly. "Can you call her over? I don't think she can read my lips from that far away." Spokenpaw smiled to Flashpaw. She seemed nice. She almost couldn't wait to meet her!

Flashpaw had somewhat dozed off, but jumped about a foot in the air when soft murmurs reached her ears. At least she could hear better now. Flicking her tail, she regarded the two curiously as she moved her mouth in a silent prayer. " Um. Hi. " she meowed softly.

[Spokensong]

(i can't actually talk. i just mouth words. ;-) )
Spokenpaw saw that the she-cat didn't need to be called over. She was already coming over to them. Spokenpaw closed the distance by padding up to her while she also padded up to them. (that makes sense, right?) "Hello, I'm Spokenpaw. The reason you can't hear me talking is because I'm deaf." she mouthed. Spokenpaw shrugged like it was no big deal. "Anyway, your Flashpaw, right? It's so nice to meet you!" Spoken smiled at Flashpaw. She waited for some sort of response.

(I know. xD I meant Ivypaw. XD)

Flashpaw looked over at the cat who seemed to be mouthing words. Flicking her ears quietly, Flashpaw cocked her head, then understood. The she-cat must be deaf. Flash smiled back at the she-cat, her eyes twinkling at the deaf cat. " It's nice to meet you too. " she responded quietly, too quiet for her own ears. Probably because she was hard of hearing again.

[Spokensong]

Spokenpaw smiled in relief. "Whew! I'm so glad you can understand me!" she mouthed happily, smiling at Flashpaw.

[Ivyleaf]

Ivypaw smiled at how the two she cats were getting along.

[Softcloud]

Softpaw padded into the apprentice den and stretched her back. She looked around the den to see some of the younger apprentices talking. She decided to walk over to them. Hello, she meowed shyly. She then saw Spokenpaw. Spoken! I haven't seen you in forever, she meowed a smile forming on her face. She padded closer other old friend and licked her cheek gently.

[Spokensong]

Spokenpaw turned to see her old friend Softpaw. "Softpaw!" she mouthed excitedly as her eyes grew wide with excitement. "Wow, it has been a long time!" Spoken smiled at her friend. Then, she asked, "Where's Bracken? I want to see him too!" Spokenpaw tried to smile in a friend kind of way, but she couldn't help blushing. Spokenpaw hoped that it wasn't very noticeable.
