A Deer is Invading! (Open)

[deerpelt]

Deerpaw padded into the new den. Her excitement was finally beginning to die down from the ceremony itself, and now she was just excited to get her new nest and meet up with the other apprentices, including some of the old kits she knew like Shadepaw, Ivypaw and Spokenpaw.

She looked around the den to try and find a spot she might like, or maybe even a spot already picked out for her.

[Ivyleaf]

Ivypaw bounded to Deerpaw. "Congrats on becoming a apprentice!" She purred.

[deerpelt]

Deerkit smiled at the older apprentice. "Thanks so much. It's great to be here, especially with you, Shadepaw and Spokenpaw." She purred sweetly. "By the way, do we just pick our own nests, or is there some kind of order?" She asked, unsure if she wanted to sleep near the back or front of the den.

[Ivyleaf]

Ivypaw had explained this to Spokenpaw recently. "Just pick a nest that has no scent on it."

[deerpelt]

Deerkit nodded and sniffed around at some of the closest nests. She found one near the corner of the den that had only a lingering scent on it, probably drifted from the others. Once she settled down in her new bed, she looked back to Ivypaw. "So what does everyone usually do when they aren't working? Just chat, or do we still play games like we did as kits?" She asked quietly, hoping she didn't sound childish for asking such a silly question.

[Ivyleaf]

Ivypaw mewed"Well, when you get to be a older apprentice, you can go hunting by yourself, you can chat, yes, and we do play games, but usually with the kits in the nursery. But it hasnt been unheard of to play with other apprentices." She laughed to herself, thinking of the times she played with Shadepaw, and her obsession with mossball.

[deerpelt]

Deerpaw nodded, realizing it would be pretty stupid for an older apprentice to play games, especially with other apprentices. Trying to switch subjects, she quickly thought of another new question.

"Oh, do we all ever train together? Or is it mainly just private?" She asked excitedly, hoping she might have the chance to train with some of the others.

[Ivyleaf]

Ivypaw thought about this. "We usually train in private. But you can ask your mentor if someone else can train with you."

[deerpelt]

"Cool, cool." She said simply. "Well thanks for being so helpful." She purred, smiling widely.

[Ivyleaf]

"Seeyou around." Ivypaw mewed.

[deerpelt]

"Yep, see you around." She said back, resting her head on her paws. This was going to be fantastic.

[Duskpaw]

Shadepaw came running up to see Ivypaw turning to leave. Oh, man! he thought. Just then he turned to see Deerkit. "Hi Deerkit! What you doing here?"

[Ivyleaf]

Ivypaw looked over her shoulder and saw Shadepaw enter. "Oh hi Shadepaw! This is Deerpaw now."

[deerpelt]

Deerpaw purred at Shadepaw's comment. "Yeah, I just got my ceremony earlier." She said sweetly.
