The sun burst on the horizon, sinking into the distance. The boulders cast shadows that stretched onward through the RockClan camp, and milling cats seemed to be settling down for the night. Save for one.
For Antoinette, the night was just the beginning for her. She scurried forward, her small size being, for once, an advantage. The rogue had been told of these clans by a feline by the name of Thicket, and another of Bear, when she had encountered DeathClan. However, the illiteracy and ignorance of the cats that resides there were beyond her, and she proceeded to seek the cats by the name of stars, and bushes, and brambles.
Padding lightly against the gravel, she kept to her shadowy haven. Antoinette couldn't afford to be caught by anyone other than the leader himself. She would be easily mistaken for a kit by any fool, but she doubted that anyone could match her agility paw for paw. Whiskers twitching, she winced.
There was a presence about. One that was unwanted. Whirling on a paw, she turned to face whoever it may have been.

Hawkstar stared calmly at the whirling cat. He did not recognize her, nor did he recognize her scent, or anything else about this cat. She was deffinetly not part of his clan, therefore she was a tresspasser.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?"

Antoinette purred slightly, though it came off as more a growl of sorts. She parted her maw in the beginning of a smile. Without hearing his name, the prominence of this feline gave everything away. This was surely the ever-famous Hawkstar. Dipping her head, she seated herself. From what she had heard, this cat was bound under a code, and could not do her harm should she have no intention of doing him any.
"I've come alone. You needn't worry. I'm looking for a RockClan. And you are this.. Hawk.. Hawk something I've heard of?"

Hawkstar examined the newcomer. If he didn't recognize the scent he would have assumed she was a new apprentice or an older kit. She was tiny, and Hawkstar being quite large felt like if he so much as stepped on her, her bones would shatter.
Her body was lithe and too muscly(this is a word now) to be a kit or apprentice's. He didn't know what to make of this cat at all.
"My name is Hawkstar," he answered "And if you are looking for Rockclan, you have found it. Why do you seek us?"

Antoinette grinned. She flicked her tail to the rhythm of make believe birds' song.
"You must have some sense, seeing as you haven't mistaken me for a child yet. Most everyone does. Regardless, I'm probably a little younger than your oldest warrior. I've seen many places, vast and afar, and I'm looking for a place to settle down. I've already been to DeathClan, the clan of no sense, and I've come here in search of refuge. In exchange, I can offer my services. As you can see, I may not seem fit for combat, but I am faster than the squirrel you never caught as an apprentice, and my claws are sharper than shattered stones. Do I make myself clear?"
She proceeded to groom herself in an effort at looking leisurely.
"So, do we have a deal?"

Hawkstar raised an eyebrow to the small warrior. Yes, warrior, Hawkstar did not discriminate, he accepted all that wished to make their home Rockclan. He was not stupid however, Deathclanners, ex or not, were not to be meddled with. he had to be sure he could trust her. "What is your name?" (Insert your answer here ) "Well Antionette, I have a job for you. If you perform it well then you may enter the clan and train to be a warrior. Should you accept, I want you to send a message to Beechstar of Treeclan."

"I'm up for the challenge, but mind you, it took me three long days to get here. I'd like at least until the next moonhigh to advance onward. Mind you, I haven't an idea where TreeClan is."
Antoinette pawed at the ground. The gravel underneath caused her to shift positions constantly. It would take a long time recuperating here. Perhaps this was a trap to get her killed?
"Please, may we step somewhere.. er.. warmer? My paws are getting a bitty frosty, even for greenleaf."

Hawkstar pawed the ground. "Well, it wouldn't be a challenge if everything was clear now would it?" he smiled, amused.
"And yes, we can talk further in my den if you would like, an apprentice, I'm sure, has left fresh-kill for me. You may help yourself to whatever is inside."
(They magically appear in his den. Powerplaying level42)
Hawkstar walked into his den, contently curling up on his bedding, he turned to Antionette.
"Eat. We must discuss your name and training."

Antoinette smirked.
"You're a clever one. Maybe I was right in coming here."
Stepping into the unknown den of Hawkstar, she looked around. It was very open, with lots of room.
"Are you sure this den belongs to one cat?" she purred, before bending down to receive the limp body left by an apprentice. Seating herself but a few feet away from the ashen tom, she tilted her head.
"Name and training? Please explain further."

''I'm not sure what Deathclan is like, but I am sure it's different than being on a rocky cliff such as here. You must learn how to hunt among the boulders if you are to be useful to this clan and I. You must also learn the warrior code. You are obviously capable of taking care of yourself, but clan life is family life. You will be given a mentor to teach you all of this.
Also, every cat in the clans has a name that ends in either kit, paw, or their warrior name and the end of their first name. While technically you will be training as an apprentice I will not deemene you by calling you paw. For now you will be called Antionette, but when the time comes for you to become a warrior, what would you like your first name to be?"

"Please, allow me time to think about that. I'll need at least a little to think about what I'll be referred to by here, in this clan. A name change isn't very drastic, but I'm sure you understand that it helps piece together my new identity, and I want that new identity to be a good one."
Antoinette paused, debating whether or not she should continue.
"As for training, I'm sure I can manage, assuming you give me a mentor that will be able to handle me." she smiled halfheartedly. "I just wonder what your clan will make of all of this. "

Hawkstar rolled some pebbles across The cave floor. As much as he disliked the idea he didn't see any other way to go about it.
"I will train you, and do not worry. You are not the first rogue to join Rockclan, nor will you be the last. As for the name, I completely understand. Take your time, it will be a while before you must decide."
Hawkstar sat up and stretched, then walked over to the small cat and touched her shoulder with his tail "Welcome to the family, we will begin "training" tomorrow."
"You may also sleep here tonight. As I said before, rogues come in all the time, but never during dusk or during the night, I don't want to alarm anyone by putting you in the warrior's den tonight."
"If there is nothing else you wish to talk about, I will retire to the warrior's den for tonight and give you some privacy." he said smiling at Antoinette.

Antoinette smiled, and for once, she felt mildly warm in the heart. Perhaps she had found a place she'd spend the rest of her life in. She nodded, taking in all he had said, but not finding enough words to express her gratitude. As he made a notion to leave, the rogue spoke up.
"I'd feel rude taking your den," she admitted, slightly embarrassed, 'But there's enough room for more than one of us. I can gather enough supplies to make a makeshift nest and sleep in that corner," signaling with her tail to the far end. "You're very kind, but really, it's not right for me to ask so much of you."

Hawkstar stood a moment and looked sideways at the ceiling, giving the notion a thought. It was quite alright for him to sleep in the warriors den, but she didn't want that. Hawkstar saw an opportunity brewing.
"I'm sure you'll fnd a way to pay me back," he teased. "And honestly, it's no trouble, I want you to have your privacy, unless you think you need some help getting to sleep tonight. The first night can be....rough." he stated with a hint of suggestion.

Antoinette pricked her ears, and the tips of them grew hot with embarrassment at her suggestion. He probably doesn't even want to be within five foxlengths of you, fool. Lifting her chin, she shrugged, trying to keep her cool.
"I mean, you can sleep in the other den, if you want to. I'm used to be alone. But, this is your den. It's whatever you want. But to be honest, I am a little unadjusted. Some company would be nice." And it can fit the two of us.
