Starlingpaw had come back from a her expedition into the forest with Nightstalker and was bushed. Her little paws ached and felt hot.

She plopped on her newly made nest but then felt a certain rush of insecurity, she knew none of the apprentices practically. She felt like their eyes were drilling into her, though their was barley anyone in the den and they seemed that they could care less that she was there.

She turned away from them and began picking moss from her nest out of sheer boredom.

Jaggedpaw padded into the Apprentices' Den, he hadn't been trained yet but surely it would be just a matter of time before he was. Looking around for a place to put his nest he spotted his best friends Starlingpaw. "Star!" He purred running forward to touch noses with her, he spotted a blank space beside her nest, it was a perfect place for him to put his!"

Starlingpaw's ears pricked up in happyness. "Jaggedki...paw!" She mewed embarrassed that she had made the mistake. She gave a smile to cover it up and gave her friend a lick on the ear in greetings.


"Jag you can put yours right here" She mewed referring to the moss bed he seemed to be having a hard time deciding on a spot for.

He had glanced at all the nests and she knew him well enough to see he had not gotten around to making his yet. Tapping her paw in the empty spot she waited for Jaggedpaw to start making himself a nest or take an empty one, there were plenty old ones not in use.

"Thanks Star, I've been looking for a a good place to put my nest." Jaggedpaw purred nuzzling her thankfully. He grabbed some scrap moss and found some loose feathers and bracken and put it into a nest, he layed in it and figuring it was comfortable enough he stood back up. "So what now?" He mewed.

"Wellwhy not take a seat!" She purred cocking her head towards the ground.
She waited for him to get comfortable before striking up a conversation. "So Jag...." She mewed with a wispy tone.

"Have you started any training yet?" She asked wanting to hear about what kind of training he had done with his mentor.

Jaggedpaw sat down next to his buddy. Listening to her question he nodded, knowing his answer.

"Yep, I am almost a Warrior too!" Jaggedpaw mewed, it would be easier to see her if he was a Warrior and she was an apprentice then him an apprentice and her a kit.
