We made it! (Floatingpaw)

[Rainpaw]

Rainpaw couldn't resist bouncing into the Apprentices' Den. Finally the boring life of a kit was over, and he could share the excitement with Floatingpaw, one of his best friends. The silver tom looked around the den, becoming disappointed as he realized there was a lack of apprentices just as there was a lack of kits. Oh well, at least now he could go out in the territory and do stuff.

He picked out an empty spot in the back of the corner, and then went and grabbed some moss he had collected. Quickly arranging it into a nice nest, he immediately turned to the sound of footsteps approaching.

Good! He had set up his nest right next to hers and then on the other side of hers would be, one day, Coldkit's. "Rainy!" Floatingpaw cried out, running towards him with a friendly smile. Training had started this morning, as this had been the first time that she had gotten a break all day. She skidded to a halt beside him, gesturing with her tail to the nest lying beside his. "Like my nest?" She mewed with a small grin, silver eyes shining as she looked over at one of her best friends. Him and Coldkit were her best guy friends, and Sagekit was her best girl friend. She couldn't ask for better friends. Floatingpaw was almost...shocked that she had gotten friends. But she was happy she did. Because she was grateful for them. "Have you started training yet?" Floatingpaw pawed his shoulder with a smile, curious to see if her friend is having the same experience that she was.

Rainpaw grinned at the sight of his best friend. He glanced at the nest she pointed at and purred in delight. "I didn't even realize I had put my nest next you yours." He mewed, looking back to the older she-cat. When she asked if he had started training yet he simply shook his head. "Sadly, no. I haven't even seen Ducksong yet." He muttered, a little annoyed that his training was being delayed, even if just by a day.

Floatingpaw shrugged, mewing, "You'll get there buddy. It's not like one day is going to effect you. It'll be okay. No matter what, you'll be the best warrior RockClan has ever seen." Floatingpaw was getting good at comforting. As a kit, she hasn't needed to use it much, but nowadays, she'd had to comfort a lot of cats, but she didn't mind. She liked to make others feel good as an apprentice, even though she hasn't had to do it often. "So what have you been doing with all the freedom we've had at our expense, Rainpaw? Been going out into the territory? Cleaning up some dens? It's all so exciting, isn't it?" Floatingpaw teased with a grin, silver eyes shining.
