Floatingpaw finally settled into her nest. There were two nests, one on either side of her. On her right would be Rainpaw, her very close friend who he had her ceremony with. On her left would be Coldkit, once he joined them in the den. She promised him she'd save him a nest. Even though she could tell he wasn't very enthusiastic as he said it, she did it anyway. It was important to her, so maybe, when he got there, it would be important to him. Sighing, the apprentice took in the air of her new den. Yes, she finally felt how close she was to being what she'd always wanted to be: the best warrior she could be. Floatingpaw looked around and smiled at all the new faces, excitement rushing through her. Her silvery eyes shined as she sat in the den. [/center]

"You're new, right? Just had your ceremony?" Marshpaw queried curiously as she emerged from the shadows of the far corner. She typically wasn't this social, but the first time in the apprentice den could be a little hectic, perhaps she could help. After all, Stripedpaw had helped her out, this would be passing it on. "I'm Marshpaw, it's nice to meet you." the female introduced herself with a faint smile, uncertain as to how this new she-cat would react.
You can't judge a book by its cover, she had no idea what this new apprentice was like. The fact that she had apparently reserved two nests beside her implied that she already had friends, she was probably just intruding. Marshpaw had friends herself of course, but she was usually being drilled by Stormhowler and honestly hadn't seen any of them for a long time. Was it a crime to want companionship? She hoped not. The faded grey-brown tabby sat down, cocking her head as she waited for an answer.

Rainpaw padded into the den with two mice, one for himself and one for Floatingpaw. He was still extremely thrilled about his ceremony, and he could only hope the life of an apprentice was as exciting as he had thought. He spotted Floatingpaw laying in a nest, with two empty ones on either side of her. He quickly padded over to her and dropped one of the mice at her paws. As he was doing so he finally noticed Marshpaw, and gave her a quick and respectful nod.
He took the nest to Floatingpaw's right and settled down in it. Looking back to Marshpaw he smiled, finally remembering where he had first seen her. "Oh, hey, you're Stormhowler's apprentice, aren't you?" He asked politely, taking a bite from his mouse while he waited for her to respond.

Floatingpaw's ulcer eyes glimmered as she snuck a smirk to her friend, taking the mouse he got for her in her claws. "Oh hey, Marshpaw, I remember you from Rainpaw and I's ceremony. It's nice to see you again. I'm Floatingpaw, if you didn't remember. And yes, we're new, but don't think you can pick on us. We aren't naive." The last part was a joke, so Floatingpaw chuckled to herself, hoping Marshpaw would understand that she was just kidding around with the older apprentice. Floatingpaw patted her tail against the nest beside her, mewing to Rainpaw, "This is for you, Rainy, if you want it. I set it up so we'd all, you, me and Coldkit, be together." [/blockquote]

Stormhowler's apprentice? That's how she was known? Wow, the tom really did have something of a reputation, though now that she thought about it, Marshpaw could remember Rainpaw being around for the scene at her own apprentice ceremony. "Yep, that'd be me." she agreed with a sigh, twitching her whiskers in amusement.
Her eyes narrowed quizzically at Floatingpaw's words. She could tell it was in jest, but it seemed like awfully bad taste to accuse her of wanting to pick on someone, even if it was a joke. Still, she didn't usually let such silly things get to her, so she didn't now. "Floatingpaw and Rainpaw, I remember. I don't think you have to worry about me picking on you......no one here is really like that." she assured Floatingpaw with a flick of her tail.
