Coughing Stinks

(Ummmmm.....I was sort of wondering if this could be greencough, I know it is rare that they live, but I will, and I know we can't know sicknesses but I was just wondering.. Also, I RP as a blind cat because I am and got permission from Waspwing.)

Dancingkit awoke to a loud breathing sound. It sounded sick. She pricked her ears worriedly. Was one of the kits in trouble? It was then that she realized that it was her with the horse breathing.

She decided to let it go for a little while, and no one else seemed to notice. She played with the kits for a little while and then got tired. She went back into the nursery and took a nap. When she awoke again, she was coughing and her breathing hurt.

She decided it was time to go see a medicine cat. She silently padded over to the den, which she had found while exploring the camp the day before. She recognized the strong scents of herbs that the medicine cats used to heal their patients, not that she knew any of them.

She poked her head in quietly and called softly, "Is anyone there? i have been coughing a lot and my breathing hurt, so I thought I would ccome here. Sorry that it is so late, but I wanted to make sure that I was okay.", she squeaked.

(Hmmm...I'm not sure. Greencough comes in the wintertime...But...Well, I guess we could make it greencough.)

I yawned and looked lazily over at the kit. The smell of sickness wafted off of her and that woke me up quickly. I bounded over to the young one and sniffed. My heart froze. My lungs wouldn't take in air. My pelt was starting to bush up. Greencough! But I didn't want to frighten the kit, so I made my pelt lie flat and forced my breathing to be normal.

"Just a little sickness," I lied, going to gather catmint. "Here, eat some of this." I pushed a small stem of catmint towards the kit. "And some coltsfoot too," I said, going back to gather the other herb. "Coltsfoot helps your breathing. You'll be better in no time!"

I was trying to sound happy, cheery, and cheeky, but in my mind, I was failing miserably. How could this innocent little kit pick up greencough in the middle of Greenleaf?! It wasn't leaf-bare! I hoped up and down that Sunblaze knew something about this. Maybe she had a case that happened in the middle of Greenleaf too? I was going to have to ask her later. Right now, there was a kit in front of me who could die from one of the most deadliest sicknesses known to cats.

"My name is Snakefang," I said, still acting quite cheerful. "What is yours?"
