(Private, elders only)
It was no secret that Harrowingpride was not only weak from her illness, but untrained to be a warrior. All she had ever done in her life was pop out kits, and then mope in the Medicine Den with Waspwing, Fernpelt and their occasional patients.
For a while she had considered getting some warrior training again. Relearn some hunting and fighting skills, then take over the Warriors' Den with her sassy personality.
But that was the old Harrowingpride. The one that wasn't afraid to speak her mind, and would claw off a whisker in a heartbeat. The new Harrowingpride showed her age, was more socially awkward, had practically no care for warrior life, and just threw pity parties for herself. She hadn't even cared enough to regain her lost weight, and even though she no longer held her illness, it didn't look that way to others.
The middle-aged brown tabby padded into the Elders' Den carefully, and glanced around the den. It was mostly empty, but she noted the few elders moping around doing whatever. What had caused her new intention of moving in was Moonpool's ceremony. With him being the new elder, and actually social in the Clan, she knew she'd at least have him to talk to now if she moved in. That way she could remain mostly anti-social, but could chat with a respectable feline.
"Hm. The den is a littler dirtier than I had imagined." He muttered, wondering why she had ever let her mother move in here.

Moonpool had left the den to grab a piece of prey, just his luck to retire with almost no apprentices left in the clan. With a rabbit, young and skinny, dangling from his jaw he trotted back to his new den. He pressed through a few draping plants, his eyes growing wide as the light changed drastically. He stopped at the entrance when he realized that their was a cat in front of him who seemed to be looking about.
The orange coloured tom dropped his rabbit and pushed it out of the way. His torn ear flicked as she spoke and Moonpool slowly made his way to her side. "It is not too dirty, just not very maintained" He commented greeting the cat with a small lick on the cheek. Harrowingpride did not do much in the clan, she seemed too ill or just not up to doing so.
"What brings you in here Harrowingpride?" He asked with a small whip of his tail.

The brown tabby looked at the older warrior, somewhat delighted to see him. Moonpool was one of the few cats in the Clan that was social, active, but still knew his boundaries. She respected the fact that he had put his service into the Clan, and remained socially active even though he had retired. She had constantly wished her own mother, Gentleheart, would have talked with the Clan more. Harrow missed seeing her mother, although she would never openly admit that to anyone but Gentleheart, or maybe Oakspirit and Leopardfire.
Moonpool's question was responded with a simple shrug at first, as Harrowingpride continued to inspect the den, or possibly her new home. Finally she stopped and looked back at the bright colored feline. "I'm here because I'm considering moving in with you." She said dryly. She wasn't trying to be rude, but for Harrowingpride to talk with a cheerful, warm tone was practically impossible nowadays.

Moonpool took no notice of her tone, "Moving in?" He said with a bit of a puzzled tone. He looked at her, inspecting her overall age and health at the time.
"You are a bit young to be moving to the Elder's den arn't you?" He pointed out to her. He knew she was probably considering due to her health and lack of skill. He looked around at the few den-mates he had, even if Harrowingpride was never too energetic he still could not imagine her resting with a bunch of nagging cats.
"I wouldn't mind the company though" He quickly insured in an attempt to make sure he did not offend her.

Harrowingpride found a tidbit of moss scrapped to the side and began fluffing it up. She had no intention of using it as real bedding, just as a border to see where her real nest would be. She listened to Moonpool calmly, almost amused by the confusion in his voice. His comment about being too young was almost met with a sigh, but she held it in and continued to make a skeleton for her future bed.
Finally she turned back to him, just as he was finished speaking. "I'm young, yes. But that illness...Whatever it was...Wore me out. Besides, I haven't done anything warrior-related in seasons, years really. Even if I gained back some needed weight, I would still be a horrible warrior." She explained, sitting down next to her to-be nest. "Besides, you and I can use each other for company. We can even be a team. You tell the stories and whatnot, I screech at the apprentices for more moss and food." She purred, for once actually feeling like she had a friend -- Even though Moonpool was just barely showing signs of joy or compassion in her eyes.

Moonpool listened as he watched Harrowingpride fiddle with some scrap moss, making a neat circle with. Her frail frame seemed to poke out as she moved slightly, bringing him more to understand that she was not fit to be a warrior now, she was skinny and had barely any real muscle on her.
He looked up at her and smiled a tad, "I see... I am not much or a screecher myself so having someone to keep those apprentices in line might be helpful." He lightly teased as he walked over to her and sniffed her 'nest'.
"Company would also be nice" He commented with a sad voice, "My den-mates now arn't much of the chatting type as you can probably tell..." He mewed rolling his eyes in the direction of one of the snoozing elders. Most of the others in the den seemed to be barley noticeable and not at all conversational and Moonpool, being such a social cat, has been feeling bored with the lack of talk among him and his roomies.

Harrowingpride grinned and let out a small, satisfied purr. "Good, we have a deal then." She said, for once actually sounding genuinely thrilled. She glanced at her skeletal nest and grinned deviously. "Perhaps now would be a good time to test my screeching out. That poor bedding needs some fresh moss, and I just know an apprentice would be grateful to get me some." She purred, glancing back at the older tom.
"Would you care for something to eat? We can share a squirrel or something while I find an apprentice worth yelling at." She asked sweetly, padding over to the entrance of the den.

Moonpool purred a tad, "That would be great Harrowingpride, get something good for us I am starving" He mewed with a small smile. Harrowingpride ould turn out to be a wonderful den-mate at this rate. (solazy)
