I agree. I'm Christian I don't hate gays. We are meant to hate sins, not sinners. We are meant to love everyone, and I love you all <3 it might be my opinion that I hate your sins, but I love you all, like Christians are meant to

So you hate gayness, but not gays.
I don't see how that's much better than just hating gays. I mean, it's great that you're all for tolerance and love at all, but I'm still personally offended. Well, kind of.
BUT ANYWAY~
I don't mean to be disrespectful or anything, but what is wrong with a girl liking a girl and a guy liking a guy? It's not morally incorrect. It doesn't affect you or anyone else.

You can love a person but not their actions. It may be a bit stupid(No offense, just my opinion), but still. Not too much hatin'

Well, kind of. No, what Cloudspirit means is that they don't hate gays because they are gay, it's just a simple factor that Cloudspirit disapproves of, but allows them to live that way anyway. Anyway, I have a gay brother and he's pretty cool. My (immediate) family was once Christian, but we decided not to attend Church anymore. I have nothing against any religion, but one of the reasons as to why we never returned was that they weren't open to new ideas. For example: "Why can't Jews accept that the Old Testament isn't right, and move on and believe in Jesus?" Boils me up! Let people believe in what they wish!

Personally, I really like Christianity. Basically the whole religion is about unconditional love. Jesus hung out with the "undesirables" of his time. Whores, prostitutes, tax collectors, lepers, beggars.. you name it.
A popular topic to ponder about in youth groups is "What would Jesus look like today?" Well, I have no clue what he'd look like, but I can imagine his company. The "undesirables" of our time tend to be the members of the LGTBQA community, as well as those with STD's and still women with the morals of a man. I feel like a lot of people forget that Jesus was about love and acceptance of others. I mean, the man was brutally killed because he was considered a heretic and was therefore undesirable.
People also forget that Leviticus was written by a man as a set of rules for the people of that community.country to live by, and are not holy words written by God himself. I mean, the Ten Commandments are the only rules the big guy literally sent down to us, and they're not that hard to try to follow. "Don't covet your neighbor's wife" should be a given.
But I do understand the "hate the sin, love the person" attitude people have. I just don't know where they got homosexuality as a sin from. :/

I fail to see how someone else's beliefs would affect your own allowance to any particular sexual identification.

Ok. I really just mostly read Afterpaw's first post and then most of this page. I'm a Christian and I don't like gayness. Like cloudspirit, I'm not saying I hate gay people. I hate the choice they made to be gay. Or the being drawn to the opposite sex. It's wrong because in Genesis, God declared what marriage was. He said a man and a woman would become one. He never said a man and a man or a woman and a woman. And that applies to dating the same sex or being bisexual. I hate the sin of the world but I try to love everyone not just because I have to, but because it is the will of God and I love him and want to please him. So again, I don't hate gay people, I just hate the sin they have and pray that God would remove that sin from their lives. This may be the only post I put on here, so if you debate against me, I may not reply. But if you have personal questions about Jesus/God/Bible/Christianity, feel free to pm me and I will try to answer as best as I can. And yes, Jesus did not force himself into sinners hearts. It's a choice we must make ourselves, but he certainly wants us to tell about him the way he did, without force. "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations....in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Sorry that I forgot the book and verse it was in. But, did you know that Jerusalem is about the size of MS, USA? Judea the USA? And Samaria all of North America? And then the ends of the earth. So, you don't have to go to all these foreign places to teach about Jesus. Start by going to your neighbor. Or a friend at school or whatever. Just don't think you have to go on these foreign mission trip to spread news about Jesus. I'm not saying that's wrong, but if you can't do that, don't let it stop you.

Honestly, straight relationships are also immoral.
God meant for Adam and Eve to simply exist in the Garden as companions, not to reproduce. Because they became aware of their ability to create life (among other things), they were cast out of the Garden. So honestly, homosexual, heterosexual.. any romantic relationship is a sin.

This is my perception of you right now. Let me put things this way, in simple terms for you. -Sexuality is not a choice. -Homosexuality is not a sin. -I do not want to spread news about something I don't believe in. Quite honestly, I don't care what you believe in, as long as you do not shove your beliefs down my throat or insult my own way of life because of your religion. This applies to Christianity as well. In response to Jay's original post, I'm actually really glad that you stood up and educated someone that didn't know their own religion. It's the Christians that go around behaving in an anti-gay manner and flaunting their beliefs that make me wary of the religion. Hawkkit, you have all the rights in the world to say that you're anti-gay, though I won't like you for it. However, the fact that you're Christian shouldn't have anything to do with that.

-Sexuality is not a choice. I disagree with this simply because I've seen many straight people turn gay and gay people turn straight, though the latter Ive seen once while the former, several. But I suppose that's an entirely different debate.

I came here because Hawkstar posted and I wondered what dahell he'd have to say.
And.. yeah. I'm neutral on this. If someone's happy with who they are and what they are doing with their lives, who are you to judge? You have no place in doing so.
Hawkkit you're an idiot. What are you doing with your life. Consider your life choices. Gtfo.
