"What an idiot."

A weighted snarl tears through the RockClan warriors' den. My snarl. "We're all idiots." Louder this time, with a sharper edge. "I didn't even get to freaking say a freaking goodbye!" My shriek echoes off the walls of the den. Evidently I don't care who I wake up. I can take on anyone. I turn the moon of my face to the wall so that the other warriors don't see the tears cutting furrows in my fur. Not that it would surprise anyone. They probably think I'm deranged anyway. My fur prickles all over with the uncomfortable heat, the RockClan heat, but for once I don't notice. I don't care. Cloudbreeze will never feel this heat again. Not that it matters; no one likes it. "Cloudy is going to freaking die and I'm just going to sit here," I growl again, my voice cracking. 'What can I do, anyway?' I add silently, 'Post leaderboards with her face?' The familiar sadism washes over me in comforting waves, and I feel my shell, the shell I worked so hard to tear down, returning, plate by plate. "I hate myself..." I groan, squeezing my eyes shut.

[Talonfang]

Talonfang padded into the Warriors' Den, hearing hissing and growling he stopped. In front of him was Lilyhaze, she had once like exploded on him for ditching Foxtwist, who had been her friend, but she was saying how she didn't even get to say goodbye, she must have been talking about Cloudbreeze. "Hello Lily, how are you?" He mewed stepping toward her. "You heard about Cloudbreeze? She'll make it, I know it." He said bluntly.

[Rushingheart]

Rushingheart suddenly woke up at the sound of shouting. Walking over to a cat he seen before, "What the matter?" He asked curiously. All he hear was yelling and shouting. Everyone in RockClan was buzzing and talking about something. He had bad memory so he was really clueless. He saw another Tom come in before him, greeting him "Hello Talonfang"

[Lilyhaze]

"What's the matter?!"

I explode again; I really think there should be a "Dangerous: Do Not Touch If You Value Your Life" sign taped to my chest. Spluttering indignantly, I slice holes into the unknown tom with my eyes. "My best friend is going to die — no, she's going to be sacrificed and you ask 'what's the MATTER?'" I shake myself. 'Calm down or the first possible friends you've had in decades will hate you,' I tell myself. I lower my head, my cheeks burning, and manage a somewhat dignified, "Oh, hello Talonfang," and a trembling, "I'm Lilyhaze, by the way. And my best friend was chosen for the Hunger Games."

[Talonfang]

"I am aware that Cloudbreeze was chosen, but she is strong and she is fierce, she will pull through and live." Talonfang mewed licking her cheek, trying to comfort her. He honestly hoped she would pull through.

[Sunmist]

Sunmist raised his head from where he was sleeping, a familiar smell and then a familiar voice had woken him up. Lilyhaze. He heard her freaking out about the games, Cloudbreeze, not saying good-bye... He got up and padded over to the small group, he nodded at Talonfang and Rushingheart before speaking, "Lilyhaze, Talonfang's right, she will be back." She has to be, or I'll never forgive CloudClan.

The large orange tom had been freaking out about it earlier, when Icystep had walked over and calmed him down. Sunmist never got to say good-bye either, but that was his own fault.

[Lilyhaze]

"Sunmist?"

There are so many bad things I could say about him. 'Thanks for leaving. Thanks for ditching Cloudy when it mattered the most. You were never there...' ... then I realize with a start that I'm just as horrible as him. He could say the same things to me. 'See, thats your problem, guurrl,' I tell myself. 'You always judge books by their covers. And you're a hypocrite. Big time.' No sound comes out of my mouth as I open it, my eyes narrowed suspiciously. After a second or two, I relax and mew, "Yeah, I guess you guys are right. She's — " I choke on my words and shake my head, my long golden fur swishing from side to side.

[Sunmist]

Sunmist nodded slightly when she said his name. Then she started choking on her words and his orange shoulders sagged. "I know." He meowed, his voice cracking. He padded right next to her, a tear streaming down his face. "I miss her so muc-" He swallowed, "Much."

[Talonfang]

Talonfang dipped his head in greeting at Sunmist's words, he didn't really know the tom but his words were wise and full of comfort. He stepped away from Lily to let Sunmist grieve with her. "Maybe I should go...." He mewed his voice trailing off.

[Lilyhaze]

"It's fine, Talon. You can stay if you want to."

I shrug, not wanting to make it awkward for Talonfang but also not really caring at the moment. "Don't worry, she's the strongest of them all," I assure him, looking away. "Besides, she has allies. Or at least an ally. As of Willowbreeze's... " I trail off, troubled.
