Has a cold....

Moonpaw walked into the medicine cats den, giving a cough or two. Hello? Is anyone there? She called, and gave another cough.

[Just a slight cold, nothing big]

Forestbreak nodded, standing up and stretching out each limb. "I'm here, yes," she mewed, turning to face the apprentice. "What seems to be the problem?" She heard the apprentice cough, so she figured it was some kind of cold or something, but she decided she ought to ask just in case it was something else. The stock of herbs was to her right, so she had backup for whatever it might be.


"A cold?" she asked finally, tilting her head to the right and staring inquisitively at the cat. Her crooked jaw twitched slightly.

Moonpaw nodded, and gave another little cough. Yes, I think it is. She said, looking at the medicine cat that had approached her.

[Forestbreak]

She nodded. "All right, nothing a few herbs can't fix. Here." She fetched some coltsfoot and pawed a dollop of honey from a small honeycomb she kept. The medicine cat pushed it towards Moonpaw. "Eat," she said simply.

"Now," she continued, "Are there any other symptoms? Stomachache? Sinuses clogged?"

She looked at the herbs, and ate them as directed. Moonpaw then looked up at Forestbreak again. No, not a stomachache or anything. Just a little cough was it. She said, and finished the herbs given to her.

"All right," she mewed. "In that case, you'll want to stay clear of other cats for a few hours, or until you stop coughing. Then you can resume your normal duties. For now, just rest up." She smiled and flicked her tail, gesturing for Moonpaw to go and rest.

The medicine cat continued sorting herbs.
