(For Cloudbreeze)
Iceshard shimmied into the main clearing, her eyes gleaming with stress. Despite said stress, there was a minor amount of relief in her gaze. She disagreed completely with what she and the elder spirits had done to the living cats that now called CloudClan home - but at least the killing was over. She'd no longer have to watch the gruesome deaths of the cats she called family. Since her own death, the feline had learned to appreciate all the clans. She was never really one to be hostile toward any cat, and despite her rouge life, her heart always remained IceClan. Still, now she called all cats her kin, regardless of bloodline.
The white feline took a seat, noting a few cats gathered around. Iceshard offered a friendly smile to each and everyone of them before pulling herself to her paws. There was one dead feline she wanted to talk to in particular - Cloudbreeze. She was a RockClan she-cat, one who'd caught Iceshard's attention from kithood. There wasn't a real reason for it - not one she could see easily. But, knowing that the majority of Iceshard's kit's being scattered around all four clans, the achromatic feline was willing to bet she was related to Cloudbreeze in some way. Regardless of the hatred she might be met with, the elder spirit padded on light paws toward the recently deceased cat. Hello, she meowed softly, a little apprehensive about the conversation she was trying to spark.

Cloudbreeze sat away from most of the cats, her mind focused on a few things. The gray and white tabby spirit was worried. Worried about what, exactly? She was worried about those she had left behind and RockClan. How would her family, if there were any still left in RockClan, react to her death and not returning? She knew how her friends and mate would react. Maybe she no longer had a mate, but that was the least of her concerns. Sunmist would be happier with another. Sighing, the tabby had just begun to stand up when she heard a voice.
"Hello."
Turning her gaze to the source of the meow, she found herself looking at one of the older spirits. Cloudbreeze didn't know most of the spirits' names. All she remembered was Tuftfeather, Cherryheart, Willowbreeze, and, or course, Ibiswing. Maybe Falconwing as well, yet he didn't know him quite as well as the other cats. Giving the she-cat a polite smile, she responded by saying, "Hello. I am Cloudbreeze. Who are you, may I ask?" Surely the spirit already knew her name. Spirits seemed to have that special way of knowing cats in the Clans.

Iceshard looked at the she-cat with a soft gaze, sympathy swimming in her irises. My name is Iceshard.. I was born in IceClan in leaf-bare nearly two hundred seasons ago. I lived my warrior life as a rogue, though.. she was trying to distract the RockClan she-cat from the obvious question that needed to be asked. Finally, though, Iceshard sucked up her pride and meowed, How are you, Cloudbreeze? These are troubling times.. they have been for awhile now.. but I'm sure you know that. You and your comrades have gotten the worst of the rathe.
The white feline sat, wrapping her tail around her paws uncomfortably. She wasn't looking forward to these new cats joining CloudClan's ranks. It was a completely necessary evil, although she was ashamed to be one of the cats involved. Iceshard was completely prepared for any hatred or anger she might be faced with.. she was a family cat. Mother to many, many kits. She'd had a big family for a reason, and her motherly know-how made it easy for her to cope with ill treatment from those she loved.

Cloudbreeze blinked a few times as the she-cat, now known as Iceshard, spoke to her. The gray and white tabby shifted on her paws, dropping her gaze to the ground. So, this cat was an old spirit. Was she one of the ones that chose the cats for the Games? Did she choose ... Cloudbreeze? Was this a plan for her given by Iceshard all along? Surely she would have known about all of this from the time she joined. Giving a small, shaky breath, she replied, "Were you one of the cats who chose the cats?"
Cloudbreeze then replied to her question. "I am fairing well after my death. I find it odd that I feel somewhat .. in peace."

Iceshard nodded as Cloudbreeze spoke, her eyes staying steadily on the she-cat's. Well.. yes, it is a strange peace. For me, I died of old age, you see, and I had been in this peace for about a season before my actual death. It was rather.. odd, really. My mate died before I did, and I knew the clans to which I donated my kits would take good care of them. So, without worrying about Firetail or my kittens.. I was really just calm, collected.
Were you one of the cats who chose the cats? Cloudbreeze asked, making Iceshard cringe. She was never a liar - she was known to be one of those cats who would tell the brutal truth, even to the youngest kit. Still, it was hard to admit to this. Iceshard had made it a point all her life - and afterlife - to never do or say anything she'd have to make amends for. Of course, this didn't always happen.. but it was a rarity. So rare for her, in fact, that it was difficult to pitch to these mistakes.
Yes. I was, she said simply, watching for Cloudbreeze's reaction closely. In her old age, Iceshard missed nothing. Well, almost nothing. There wasn't a flick of the ear or a shimmer in the eye that slipped passed the achromatic feline.

Cloudbreeze gave a small sigh when the other spirit mentioned her mate. A single thought ran through her head. I had a mate. But, he is still alive. I can't have him anymore. The gray and white cat then replied, almost saying the same words aloud. "I had a mate. But, he is still alive. I don't know if he even knows I am dead, though. It depresses me."
When Iceshard replied saying she was one of the cats that chose her, a small flare of anger boiled inside her. She looked at the ground, her ear flicking. "Why me? Why did you pick me over someone else?"
