"Yes, it does," Hawkspirit agreed. As he looked around at the scenery, he noticed a baby rabbit hopping around. Stalking it, Hawk pounced. He caught the gray creature in his jaws and padded back over to Vaporcloud.

Vaporcloud gave a smile as she noticed Hawkspirit caught the rabbit. -Seems like he's a natural at it.- She thought to herself silently. "Nice catch Hawkspirit." The Siamese purred. -Why do I still feel like a mentor? We are both warriors, get yourself together Vapor!- She added to herself silently.

"Thanks," Hawkspirit replied as he munched down on his rabbit. "Do you want some?" he asked.

Vaporcloud gave a little nod. "Sure, thanks." She said, yet she waited to see what part of the rabbit he was okay with her having.

Hawkspirit let Vaporcloud have one of the rabbit's flanks, which seemed to have the most meat on it. It seemed like the polite thing to do. Plus, they were friends. Hawk started to nibble around the neck and shoulders. He purred in delight. 'This rabbit is fantastic!' Hawk thought. It was, of course, his favorite food.

Vaporcloud gave a purr of thanks and began having some of the rabbit. It was a rather tasty rabbit, the best she'd had in a while. "This is a great rabbit Hawkspirit." She said with another little purr.

Hawkspirit nodded. "No kidding! Cloud Clan was good to grant us such a good rabbit." After he finished his serving of the meal, Hawk laid on his back and sighed contently. "Thank you, Cloud Clan!" he shouted to the sky above him, stretching out his forelegs slightly upward as if he were holding the sky and Cloud Clan itself.

Vaporcloud smiled and looked up at the sky too. -Yes, thank you CloudClan.- She said to herself quietly.

Hawkspirit let his arms drop to his sides. He kept looking at the sky for a few moments. The tall grass around him flowed with an invisible wind. He smiled at the way the grass tickled his face. Then, he got up and looked at Vaporcloud. "Ready to walk some more?" he asked.

Vaporcloud nodded and stood, ready to go walking again. "Sure, Hawkspirit." She said to him.

Hawkspirit smiled and started to walk through the tall grass again. A cool breeze ruffled some of Hawk's shortish fur. "Today is a beautiful day," he commented, trying to make conversation.

Vaporcloud smiled and gave a nod. "You're right. I wonder how much longer leaf-fall will last." She said.

[Hawkspirit]

"Yes. Unfortunately, it'll get really cold soon," he added, thinking about having to snuggle in a lot of moss and feathers to keep warm.

Vaporcloud gave a nod and fluffed up her fur at the thought of it. "Yes it seems so, and with prey starting to run low, I can't believe this leaf-bare will be the best of them all. A friend of mine said that a queen told her we might have to fight for more prey, and maybe more land if I remember correctly."

"Are you saying we might actually have a bit of a war?" he asked, stopping and turning to face his former mentor. If they did, Hawkspirit would probably have to serve for his clan.
