He had not visited Waspwing much, Moonpool had meant to several times but the medicine cat seemed to always be busy with something and the elder did not want to be a bother. But now that the orange tom was in search of some advice and treatment for his worsening hind-leg, in which he had ignored for several days, he almost had to visit his friend. Ashfang's current predicament had the tom stressed on top of his own physical issues, Moonpool could not help but worry and contemplate whether or not to confront Beechstar himself, threatining his mates well-being and life was just to risky to leave unresolved. It did not help that the tom felt like a burden to the clan and longed to do something useful yet less physically straining for Treeclan, the only job he really did besides a rare hunting trip was cleaning out dens. His whole situation was too much stress for a cat his age if you asked the retired warrior.
Moonpool stretched in his den, his back leg throbbed as he did so. After he had stumbled and twisted his ankle, nothing but soreness and pain came from that leg. He had ignored it for a few days but after last night's rainstorm the cold air and damp conditions had worsen the pain and cause it to become more spread through his leg instead of just around his ankle. The tom winced as he got up on his insecure paw, shaking a tad as he lifted himself up. The orange feline walked out of the den with a slight limp. The sunlight beamed through camp and warmed his pelt as he made his way to Waspwing's den. He mewed a greeting to a few of his clan-mates as he passed.
The elder soon made it to the medicine cat's den and he sniffed the entrance before peaking his head in. The strong scent of herbs was a tad overwhelming and it was a bit dark in the nest but Moonpool was sure Waspwing was not in the den. The tom was either fetching breakfast, gathering herbs, or speaking with someone so the orange feline decided he would just walk in and wait for his friend to return to his den.
Moonpool decided to sit down and glance at the herb supply out of curiosity, trying to see how many small piles of plants and berries he could identify. He recognized poppyseeds and borage leaves instantly , the seeds were used extremely often and he remembered his mate Rainfeather and his daughter Littlepool receiving the herb... Moonpool also believed that Fernpelt might have given it to him once for a fever. Some familiar roots and leaves along with a berry or few that were visible, though Moonpool did not know their use or name. The tom momentarily forgot his predicaments and instead began to ponder the use of each plant. "Waspwing must have a brilliant memory...." He mewed quietly to himself as he abandon his herb identification pastime and went ahead to groom his leg.
