"Don't worry one of them will come soon." Mistypaw reassured her. She knew what thorns felt like but it would be worse as a kit.

Forestbreak padded up to Mistypaw. "Nice to see you again," she mewed wryly, a smirk on her face. Her eyes drifted down to see the kit that Mistypaw was escorting. "Your paw is hurt, huh? My name is Forestbreak. I'm the medicine cat of FireClan, in case you don't know me. What's your name?"
The medicine cat tilted her head thoughtfully. "Would you mind lifting up the paw that's hurting so I can get a better look at it? That way, I can see if it's a thorn or not," she told the kit.

Mistypaw dipped her head in greeting to the medicine cat. "Hello Forestbreak." She said. She glanced back down at Silverkit. Gently, with her muzzle, she lifted the kits paw higher.

Forestbreak nodded. "That's a thorn, all right. It's pretty small, but as you know, Mistyspark, thorns hurt," the medicine cat observed, smiling. "I don't think it has much chance of getting infected, so I'll skip the marigold this time." Nevertheless, she leaned forward.
"Okay, I'm going to take the thorn out now," Forestbreak warned Silverkit. "It might hurt a bit, but I'm sure you'll be fine. Are you ready for me to pull it out?" she asked inquisitively.
