Lotuskit limped in the medicine cat den. Her paw was bleeding- she had stepped on a thorn and finally noticed later in the day. "Uh... hello?" she mewed. She had never been near the medicine den, let alone think about it.

Waspwing sighed and looked at the tiny scrap of fur. "Yes, what is it?" He asked irritably, glancing at the paw she had held up. Seriously, how did these kits find all of these thorns? Honestly its like they all purposely made themselves get hurt so they could like post in his den or something. Wait, what? Post? He shook his head of the thoughts and grabbed some poppy seeds. "I'll take the thorn out and give you some herbs to keep it from getting worse. Then I'll give you some seeds that will make you sleep better, but they'll also ease any pain." He explained, grabbing some burdock root and cobwebs as well.

Lotuskit watched in intrest. Her paw was killing her now, but she kept herself from screaming "HURRY UP!" Instead, she looked at the herbs.

Waspwing padded over and placed his supplies on the ground. "Alright, I'm going to pull the thorn out now." He didn't bother telling her that the process would hurt, even if just a little bit. Better to get it out of the way. He bent his head down and bit gently on the thorn. Then he quickly tugged it out and placed it aside. Now he'd wait for the painful mewl or whatever.

Lotuskit saw Waspwing's annoyance. She wanted to scream or probably lunge at Waspwing with sheathed claws. But just closed her eyes and let out a small sqeak.

Waspwing licked at her paw, thankful when he noticed the wound wasn't producing too much blood, not that he thought it would anyway. "Sorry, I know that must have stung." He cooed, then grabbed some burdock root and chewed up into a fine pulp. He then spit it out on her paw and wrapped it with cobwebs. "Those herbs will keep your wound from getting..Er, sick." He said, not sure if she'd know what infected means or not.
"Alright, how about I give you those seeds to ease the pain and make you sleepy?" He asked sweetly, rolling two poppy seeds closer to him and the tiny she-kit. "Oh, and make sure you tell your mother what happened alright?"

"Okay...." Lotuskit wasn't sure if she was dismissed or not, but she licked up the seeds and just stared blankly. Now how does her paw get sick?

Waspwing smiled and began to pad back over to his herb supply. "Alright, you can go ahead and go. If the cobwebs on your paw get dirty, of the pain comes back, feel free to come back to me for some more medicine." He purred, then began sorting several leaves and berries.

Lotuskit nodded. "Thank you." she mewed, her voice still rasp from skeaking so shrilly.
(so would I have to lock this thread?)
