the tall tomcat slowly walked into camp, his vision still slightly blurry around the edges? he had been out hunting with mistyspark, and he had started running, only to trip and hit his head on a rock. it was still bleeding, and blood trickled into his eyes, making it even harder to see. he shook his head, which hurt, then padded towards the medicine cats den, and nudged his way past the bracken or whatever was there. he went inside, and sat down, trying to make out any cats in the dark den. "hello? clovepetal, forestbreak?" he called anxiously.

Forestbreak stood up when she heard the voice, rubbing her yellow eyes with her paw. She could make out a figure in the dim light, but not any details. "Hm?" she murmured sleepily. "What's the problem?" She was a bit annoyed- the problem had better be big enough to call for waking her up. She hoped it wasn't a thorn in their pad or something. But either way, she wasn't going to snap at them. Not yet, at least.
The voice sounded like an apprentice's or very young warrior's, though more like an apprentice's. The cat was unfamiliar, though. That was no surprise, since she barely knew most of the apprentices.

the tall tom sat patiently, his tail curled neatly around his paws! his green-blue eyes trying to probe the darkness, but it was useful. he could see nothing inside the dark den, and felt as useless as if he were blind. how do they see in there? he thought about asking one of the medicine cats, but thought against it. they could take it the wrong way.
finally, forestbreak came out, looking at him sleepily, and he sighed in relief. "hi forestbreak," he mewed softly, gazing up at her. a trickle of dried blood caked his forehead, and more fresh blood was dripping out of the wound. he didn't even know what was wrong. for all i know, i could have cracked my skull open, it wasn't the most pleasant thought.
"i um… have a bit of a problem here, he mewed! showing her his head. "i was out hunting with mistyspark! and she told me that we would hunt separately. I was running, and i er… tripped and hit my head. hard." he mewed, shuffling his paws. he didn't want to get in trouble. "it's not too bad though. the only thing wrong is it's been bleeding a lot and my vision is blurry around the edges. that's not bad right?" he asked hopefully. he was trying to convince himself, when he let out a huge yawn. "and i'm tired." he mewed with a chuckle.

Forestbreak listened, eyes still bleary. She sighed as he finished talking. "No, that isn't good, but it's no use getting worked up about. You probably have a minor concussion. Did you pass out? Are you feeling dizzy? Nauseous? Do you have a bad headache?" She rattled off the symptoms effortlessly. "Either way, the fact that it's bleeding means that it needs to be dealt with immediately. Blood loss on the head generally needs to be stopped at soon as possible."
She stumbled to the back of the den and returned a moment later with a large amount of cobwebs. Squinting her eyes, the medicine cat began applying the cobwebs to the wound, layer by layer. Within a minute, she'd applied a thick coating of the sticky fibers. "That should be enough to keep the bleeding at bay until the wound scabs over," she commented. "Now, about those symptoms." She sat and waited for the apprentice to respond. If he had a minor concussion, a few herbs and some rest would get him right back to normal, but a major concussion would need more intervention.
