 Cheetahfur shrugged. "They'll come back again." She pointed at a nest stocked with acorns. "Maybe go to the moors for a rabbit or two?" she suggested.

Adderstone nodded. "Sure. Hopefully there, I won't slip," he remarked, and made another attempt at a smile; this time, he felt he'd managed it right. Turning, he started padding toward the empty moorland.

She purred and padded over next to Adderstone. "You smell anything?" she asked, bending down to dab the grass with her nose.

Opening his jaws, he caught the faint scent of a hare. "Yeah, it smells like there might be something over here," he hissed in an undertone, stalking toward a boulder on the edge of the moor. When he was about a tail length away from the boulder, the hare bolted. He started after it, and called to Cheetahfur for help. "Try to steer it toward me!" Adderstone called to her.

Cheetahfur purred. That was going to be easy. She bolted after the rabbit and, as she turned left to steer it, knocked her paw on a stone. A flash of pain shot through her ankle, but she kept running. "Almost there..." she growled, as they neared Adderstone. The rabbit had caught sight of him and was trying to move direction. "TRY GOING IN A BUSH AND LEAPING ON IT!" Cheetahfur called. Her paws was affecting her speed and she began to fall behind.

As the rabbit veered and Cheetahfur's paw slowed the rate at which she was running, Adderstone used his hind legs to cannon him forward. With the burst he put on, he slammed directly into the rabbit, sending it flailing forward. Quick as he could, he grabbed the rabbit and killed it with a swift bite. Turning toward Cheetahfur, he asked, "Are you alright?"

"Yup. I guess." she rested her paw on the ground. "Probably just a bruise." She glanced at the fresh-kill, her stomach growling. "Well, we aren't on a hunting patrol, are we? And we can always catch more..." she murmured.

Adderstone nodded, amusement tainting his harsh amber eyes. "I suppose you're right. Here," he said, nudging the rabbit toward Cheetahfur. "Have first bite."

Adderstone took a larger bite and swallowed it swiftly. He took a few more bites, then pushed it back toward Cheetahfur. "Here. Finish it off," he offered.

"Thanks." she dipped her head and snuffled around the carcass, nibbling off what meat was left. After a decent two or three mouthfulls, she looked up.
"We better hunt some more to make up for eating this rabbit." she thought aloud.

Adderstone nodded in agreement. "Sounds good. We should split up, so that we cover more ground and have a better chance of stalking than we would together," he remarked, turning to head in the direction that led to the RockClan border.

Adderstone nodded. That would give him a lot of time to catch something. "See you at sunhigh, then," he called over his shoulder as he set out at a brisk pace, tasting the air for any scent. Catching a faint scent of rabbit, he turned, and nearly collided with the animal. Quickly, he dispatched the hare and set it amongst some tall grass.

Cheetahfur watched him disapear into some tall grass and set off in the other direction. She caught the scent of heather hare and caught the sight of mottled brown fur. She launched herself at it and gave chase. She took one great leap and broke it's neck. It was a very plump and big one. She purred. That could probably feed all of the warriors. Well, at least Adderstone, Diamondeyes, herself and Hawkspirit.
