Vaporcloud gave a flick of her tail. "That's true, Antstep. Well you can't blame Darkstar for that now can you? Maybe at the next ceremony, you will get your first apprentice." She said.

He nodded. "We shall see. I highly doubt I'll be around by the time the next one comes, but you never know. Maybe someone will even ask me to train them without the ceremony." Antstep said.

Vaporcloud shook her head. "The mentors that have apprentices are doing well about keeping them on their paws. They probably wont be going anywhere anytime soon." Hopefully you will be too. She added silently.

He gave a sharp look. "I know what you're thinking, Vaporcloud. By the time I get my first apprentice, we'll see whether or not I keep up with their training." Antstep said.

Vaporcloud started out slowly, "I don't doubt you, Antstep, you must know that. Anyway, enough of this chit-chat. Care for a hunt?" She asked him.

Antstep showed no emotion upon answering her question, "Sure. The fresh-kill pile can always have more prey." He said. "Especially when it comes to this time of the year." Antstep added.

She nodded. "I take it you've heard about the new season coming to us. Leaf-bare. It'll be your first, and I hope you don't get green or white cough. They are nasty little things." Vaporcloud said. "Where to?"

He shook his head. "Unless you do any hunting in the camp, I'm going to say the territory." Antstep said, and rose to his paws before he started walking out to the territory.

She grumbled. "Perfect." Vaporcloud said to him and wandered on out to the territory before he could respond.

Antstep padded out behind her and sniffed the air for any signs of prey.

Vaporcloud stood downwind and sniffed. "Just get as many as you can, we should be able to take them back later." She said to him, and looked around. Rabbit? With a quickened pace, she wandered around the area while looking for it. She eventually spotted it and then pounced on it with a killing bite to the throat.

He gave a nod of approval when he saw her make a catch. The tom then spotted a few voles and unsheathed his claws for he did not want them to be able to get away. Antstep leaped with killing blows to both of them. He took them in his muzzle, and walked them over to a place where he could bury them. The tom then returned to the hunt.

Vaporcloud buried her prey and then spotted a squirrel. It's tail looked fluffy... She ignored the thought and raced after it. The Siamese chased it up a tree and followed it. A few seconds later, she brought it back down and buried it with the rest of her prey.

Antstep shook his head. "You were not going to let that one get away from you, were you?" He asked her.

She shook her head. "Why of course not. We need prey now don't we?" Vaporcloud said with a blink of her eyes.
