The new apprentice in town (Unoriginal) [Open]

[Nightsong]

Nightpaw padded slowly inside the apprentice's den, half expecting a lot of apprentices to be staring at her, half expecting nobody to be there at all. "Hello?" she asked quietly. Upon deciding the den was empty, she padded in and started getting to work to make a nest. She thought the den seemed very quiet, with the absence of all the kits scuffling around in the dirt. Somehow she missed it a bit, but soon she would get used to the silence.

Nightpaw heard pawsteps coming through the entrance and pricked her ears. "Hello?" she asked louder this time.

[Ripplefur]

Ripplepaw had been outside working on his hunting practice when he noticed a new apprentice walk into the den. He gave it a while before he padded into the den. He heard the she cat call out. Hello ma'am. I'm Ripplepaw. He said with a friendly smile on his face. You must be new around here. Let me just say, there isn't many of us here. And we don't really get trained, our mentors don't take a out as often as you think. So get comfortable and make some friends. He purred and looked at her.

[Nightsong]

"That's a shame, my mentor started me out right away," Nightpaw purred when she saw that Ripplepaw was friendly. "I'm Nightpaw, by the way, pleased to meet you." Nightpaw had noticed how empty the apprentice's den[ was, it seemed like there hadn't been cats in this den for a while. Hopefully now that two more had moved in, it would become more welcoming and active. "How long have you been an apprentice?" she asked Ripplepaw. Nightpaw kneaded her nest for a bit, then tucked her paws under her chest.

He purred and sat himself down in his own nest, not to far away from Nightpaw's. well it was right next to hers accualy. Well I became an apprentice about awhile ago... I have been here for a long time. I just stopped keeping track. He said with a laugh. Im almost a warrior. Hopefully I get to finish my training. Who's your me mentor? He asked

[Nightsong]

"My mentor is Fadingecho," Nightpaw answered. There wasn't much to do in the apprentice's den, but she didn't know anything else she could do outside, so she simply sat up in her nest and started to groom her black and white fur. In between licks, she mewed, "Who's your mentor?" She continued cleaning her semi-long fur with soothing strokes of her tongue. It was relaxing to not worry about little kits crashing into her, and she enjoyed have somebody new to talk to.

Fadingecho seems like a nice warrior. I'm sure he will train you well. He said with a polite smile. He wished his mentor had taken the time to train him. They were almost done with training. He was on his battle training session. But oh well. Life must not always be fair. He should go ask Hawkstar for a new mentor. Anyways. My mentor? Lets see. I think it was Poppy.... Um ahh Poppy.... Um... Sorry. I forget. It's been a very long time. He said and looked at his paws, embaressed.

[Nightsong]

"If our mentors agree, we might be able to train together!" Nightpaw's eyes lit up a bit at the thought, though it probably wouldn't happen. Shaking her pelt, she rose to her paws and asked, "Do you think we would be allowed to go around the territory for a walk on our own?" Her paws itched to go somewhere. Plus, she wanted to get to her her surroundings a bit better, because she only had a vague idea of the clans territory.

Well it would depend on who Hawkstar gives to me as my new mentor. I already asked him for a new one. Lets wait and see. He said before getting up and shaking bits of miss out of his tabby fur. Out into the territory? I don't think we are allowed out there without a warrior. Maybe we could do something in here. It's nice and warm and there is no one else here. We have the whole den to ourselves. He said with a smile.

(Maybe we could make a plot with them. Pm me if you want to)

(What kind of plotting? :3 I like plotting...)

Nightpaw felt sorry for Ripplepaw because of his missing mentor. It seemed a shame that mentors would leave their apprentices alone for a long time, keeping there apprentices from becoming warriors. It was disappointing to see how many times it happened too. Hopefully Fadingecho wouldn't stop training her...

She decided to not drift away and instead, she meowed, "So how much training do you have left?"

[Ripplefur]

Ripplepaw just looked at his paws. I just have to finish my battle training. He said and looked up. Well while we have the time to spare, want to play a game? He asked.

(Laziness)

[Nightsong]

(Sorry it took so long for me to reply! Weekends!)

Nigtpaw didn't know that apprentices liked to play games as well, but she shrugged. She thought of a game that would be the best practice for training. She decided that Ripplepaw probably wouldn't like being pounced on again, and neither would she, so it seemed playing "warrior" was the best idea. "Well we can practice our battle skills, even though I don't know much yet," she suggested once she had made up her mind.

[Ripplefur]

Ripplepaw smiled and purred. I love battle. But don't worry, I still don't know much but I usually make up my own moves. I can teach out how to look at a warrior and determin their weekness in battle. He said and crouched down. But before we do that, attack me. He meowed. Determined to win.

[Nightsong]

Nightpaw was surprised at Ripplepaw's eagerness to practice fighting. "Umm, alright," she mewed uncertainly. She studied his frame, noting that he was muscular, yet small, and debated on the best way to tackle him. She slid under him quickly, then spun around and tried to hook his back legs out from under him with sheathed paws.
