Hummingtree and Moonpool had been friends. And they met because of Flintclaw...Flintclaw. The name brought so many memories to her head, and they made her heart ache. Whatever did happen to forever? Flintclaw promised a forever. And at the time, she had doubted it...Now she knew why she had doubted it. Her mind was telling her not to fall for her mentor because this was exactly what was going to happen. "Moonpool?" the elder had been close to Flintclaw, and maybe he'd be able to tell her where he had gone and why she was left to pick up the pieces. Maybe he'd be able to tell her where anyone has gone, because everyone seemed to be slipping away. Moonpool was kind and gentle, and was sort of like a father figure to her, and to have his advice wild mean the world. Setting down the squirrel she had been carrying at her paws, she sat down at te entrance and awaited politely to be invited in before running around and yelling for Moonpool.

This had been slowing down in the elders's den as leaf-bare approached. His clanmates were scurrying on patrols to find prey or strengthen supplies before their first true cold spell came. The cold, snow or not, had caught up to Moonpool and for the first time leaf-bare was going to take a large toll on him. The cold alone made him ache and he had a sort of cough that could not go away. It would pop up, scratchy and dry or stuffy and choking. The elder was curled in a small n a warm greenleaf afternoon. "Moonpool....?"
Moonpool's eye flickered open and reality came into play. He let out a fit of small hacking coughs as he yawned. He groaned as he moved out of his warm, curled position. A small wind blew through the den as he glanced around with curious, dull eyes. "Hello? He called wondering if he had dreamt the voice and was only making a fool of himself.
