Splashpaw sat outside the apprentice's den, enjoying the morning breeze, and saw a few cats just waking up. "Are you guys awake yet?" She mewed quietly. She always woke up early.

Moonpaw arched her back and yawned. She still couldn't get over how early Splashpaw always got up. "I'm awake,kind of." She mewed. She licked her paw and began to wash her face. "So why are you up so soon?" She asked. Moonpaw continued to groom herself waiting for Splashpaw to answer.

"I dunno, I just don't want to miss anything!" She purred back. Then she started hopping. Splashpaw could never control her energy. "So Moonpaw, what do you want to do?" She meowed to the silver and white cat.

"Let's see..." Splashpaw's gaze drifted to a mud puddle. She ran over and rolled around in it, then came charging for Moonpaw.

Moonpaw dropped down instinctively at the sign of Splashpaw hurtling toward, her calico fur now a dull brown color from the mud. Mud splattered everywhere. Moonpaw dashed forward and prepared to leap over top of Splashpaw's head.

Splashpaw shook out her muddy fur right when Moonpaw was running to leap on top of her. Moonpaw will still get muddy if she attacks me! Splashpaw thought, smiling.

Moonpaw felt the mud splatter all over her silver fur. uggh I'm going to so need a bath after this. she thought.

Splashpaw purred. "Okay I'm gonna go roll in a puddle now." She said, padding over to a big, clear puddle reflecting the sky.

Moonpaw followed her friend over to the small puddle. Boy was it muddy lately. She thought. She looked at the sky, the sun was shining and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. Well at least the mud will get dried up she though as she hopped into the puddle.

Splashpaw started hopping, splashing Moonpaw, while getting water in her eyes.

"Hey." Moonpaw said as she shook some of the water off of her fur. They hung in little droplets on her silver fur. She turned to Splashpaw with a huge smile on her face. "Oh you asked for this..." She trailed off, ending her sentence with a massive shake of her soaked fur. It wasn't very long, but it had grown some for leaf-bare.

Splashpaw squeaked as the silver tabby got her wet. Splashpaw looked around and saw a big tree fairly close to the puddle they were in. She dashed over there, climbed to the lowest branch, and jumped off, landing in the puddle that Moonpaw was in. "There ya go!" she meowed, grinning.

Moonpaw smiled. A she watched Splashpaw jump from the tree. As Splaspaw came closer she prepared to jump and splash her just as landed.
