Her mother's voice was thick with sorrow. No! "But..but... she was fine last night." "Oh, little one," SaidFeatherwhisker, passing by. "I know this is hard. Maybe it would have been better if you'd joined your sister in the stars." "NO!!!" snarled Leopardfoot
with such vigor that Featherwhisker stepped back. Gently she nuzzled Mistkit. "I'm so glad you survived." "M-me too," Mistkit stammered. What's it like for Nightkit up there? "Where's Tigerkti?" "Oh, in the apprentice's den. Perhaps you should join him," 

Mistkit could hearTigerkit, alright. "Come on, I'm not scared," he pleaded. "Please please please teach me a battle move?"  But she felt to tired. She spotted a fern tunnel that featherwhisker had disappeared down with Spottedpaw, his apprentice. Maybe she could go there and see what the medicine cats were doing. Or, she could go o the elder's den and listeto stories.
