Cheetahfur shuddered with fear as the overwhelming wind blew over the bramble thicket. Her heart beat faster and faster as the thunder crackled yet again as the sky flashed. She felt like there was going to be a tornado, there was so much wind. Rain poured down in buckets as thunder crackled again. She snuffled, a tear by her eye, as her fear of strong winds and thunder overwhelmed her. What she needed now was someone to be with her. (For Hawkspirit only)

Hawkspirit was trudging through the wind, rain, thunder, and mud as he tried to get to his mate Cheetahfur. He knew she would be terrified right now. He soon found her and led her inside, both drenched in rain. "You okay?" he asked, snuggling close to her to keep Cheetahfur warm.

She gave a small nod and looked up at the sky. A flash of lightning hit a tree in the horizon. "It's just... A storm." she meowed to Hawkspirit, but anyone can see she was trying to reassure herself. She quickly reached up, grabbed a few really big leaves, and laid it on the branches towering over her and Hawkspirit. It worked a bit, and they stopped being drenched. Cheetahfur stood there, as if no longer scared, but as soon as the wind howled again, and the thunger crackled, she hunkered down, letting out a kit-like MEEP.

"Sh....shh...." Hawkspirit quieted Cheetahfur. He laid down next to her. "It's okay. It's okay. I'm here. You don't need to be afraid," he cooed.

She nestle closer to Hawkspirit and closed her eyes, letting out a small whimper everytime the wind howled or thunder roared. "Meep!" she howled when lightning struck deep in their territory.

Hawkspirit saw a cave that was only a few hundred yards away from where they were. "Hey, Cheetah," he coaxed, "do you think you can run over with me to that cave just over there?" Hawk showed Cheetahfur where the nicely-sized cave was. "It's warm and dry; and the best part: no thunder or lightning can touch you in there! What do you say? Do you think you can make it over there?"
