Foxtwist lounged a about the Warrior's den, licking her bright ginger pelt and purring softly. She was in quite a bit of deep thought, thinking about all the things that used to be.

She thought of her old group, of Cloudy. She couldn't bring herself to actually think about her best friend, being gone forever. She pushed the grey she-cat to the back of her mind, and began to think of someone else.

She needed a hero.. And she could only think of one cat that could make her feel better; Talonfang. She didn't mean to dig up bones or open new wounds, but deep down she missed him a lot.

Her emerald eyes scanned the Warrior's den for his familiar pelt... But didn't see him.

Talonfang stumbled into the Warriors' Den. He had gone hunting earlier and had just eaten a mouse, so now he was exhausted. He flopped into his nest. After a second when no sleep came as expected he opened his eyes to see white paws and a petite ginger tabby form in front of him. It was Foxtwist. He had been her mate, but he had left her when his former mate, Leopardmask had returned. Of course, it had only been a matter of days before Leps had disappeared and he was left alone.

He couldn't have gone crawling back to Fox, after the jerk he had been, after all he had been really cruddy. He had avoided her after all those moons and now here she was.

"Oh Fox, I'm so sorry, I should have never left you, I'm not asking to be your mate again, but can you please forgive me?" He begged looking up at her, it was a very, very overdue apology, but he was truly sorry now. And all he wanted was for them to be friends once more.

As he came into sight, Foxy looked down. She listened to his paw steps, and heard him flop into his nest. Why had she thought he would wanna talk to her? He didn't even enjoy looking at her, she couldn't imagine trying to talk. Sheet out a sigh and closed get emerald eyes. Then, she caught his scent. He seemed awfully close! Her eyelids slowly raised, to reveal those gorgeous green eyes.

Then, he started to speak. She listened to his voice, that oh-so familiar voice as he apologized. When be asked her to forgive her, she slowly stood up, walked closer to him, and buried her face in his fur. She didn't even have to speak, she hoped that a gesture like that would say everything she needed to say.

Talonfang breathed in Foxtwist's scent as she buried her nose into his fur. He had missed the friendliness between them. Leopard had ruined them. He had ruined them. He had been forgiven easily but his heart was still torn in two. He was lucky that she was how she was, any other she-cat would have hissed and lashed out at him, but she was Foxtwist and no one else was like her. He wanted to push away. But he knew she was just being friendly, not weird. "Foxy, thank you for forgiveness but our relationship is still torn, can we please mend it and become friends?" He asked burying his nose in her head fur.

Foxtwist slowly backed up, and sat down in front of Talonfang. She looked up at him, her gaze soft. She slowly nodded, and flashed him her old smile. She didn't want to be anything more than friends, not at this point anyway. When they were together, the thing she loves was that they were friends. The cuddling, and saying cute things was great, but the fact that they could be silly together was her favorite. She missed their friendship.

"Of course," she said, her voice changing to a quiet purr. In any other circumstances, she would've let him talk on, but not today. She had missed her friends. She had only talked to Lilyhaze lately. Everyone else was gone, never to be seen again. She needed him back. He probably didn't need her, but she needed him.

"Thank you." He purred. He remembered how pained she was when he had left her, how she could ever forgive him, he wasn't sure, but he wasn't going to ever argue. He imagined how being friends again would be. Showing off to each other, telling jokes, going for hunts and walks. But never again would they be more than friends or even best friends. Sure, it pained him, but he had gotten himself that way. "What shall we do Madam Fox?" He asked with a cat-like smile. He of course was joking around calling her Madam Fox, and hopefully she wouldn't be offended.
