Coyotepaw let out a slight whimper as he practically hopped like a kangaroo over to the medicine cats' den. A slow hiss of pain escaped him as he jolted his shoulder a couple times. Gray spots dancing in his eyes, he blinked them away quietly. Settling on all four paws, he flinched at the memory of crashing to the ground with two branches sandwiching him between the two. The one on top had injured his shoulder, probably sprained it, or wrenched it. He wasn't sure. It had swollen during the previous night, and it was turning a dark shade. Coyotepaw let out a small cry of pain as he tripped over a twig, sending himself sprawling in a mossy nest. Pain flared up his shoulder and he instantly tensed, the fire in his shoulder worse than ever.
" Ugh. How did I ever get myself into this mess? " Coyotepaw mumbled to himself.

Waspwing watche the apprentice limp in with worry flashing in his eyes. "How in the world did you manage...That?" He asked quietly as he sniffed at the bruised shoulder, which seemed to be very painful for the tabby-tom. He hadn't actually seen this serious of an injury in moons, and in an odd, sickening way it was actually quite nice to have such an important task. Asides from Koisplash and Maplefrost. Although they were both fine, now.
"Alright, lay on the non-injured side in a nest." He mewed as he hobbled over to the small dip in the ground where he kept his herbs, grabbing some -herb- to help with infection. "On a scale of thorn to dog bite, how much does it hurt?" He asked as he began chewing the herb into a pulp.

" Oh, I fell off a cliff. Coyotepaw remarked sarcastically. " No, I actually fell off a tree. My fault actually; the branches were weak and the heavier one hurt my shoulder pretty bad. Then I exerted myself on it, and probably infected it. " The tomcat winced as he attempted to move the stupid shoulder, feeling the fire consume it once again. Pupils dilating to pinpricks in pain, his breath shortened a bit before evening out again. Carefully, he maneuvered so his shoulder faced Waspwing, but not touching anything.
" Would a fire count more than a dog bite? Like.. fire burns? " he mewed, feeling the flames consume the leg once more. Hissing with pain, he bashed his face a few times in the nest just to let steam out.

Waspwing snarled, not in annoyance, but in disgust. "Ouch." He mumbled as he smothered the small tom's shoulder with a poultice. "These herbs are going to keep the wound from getting infected, or if anything, more infected." He explain as he covered his herbs/Coyote's shoulder in a thick wad of cobwebs.
He trotted back to a little pile of leaves and seeds he had placed a mouse-length behind him, and grabbed some feverfew, then dropped it in front of Coyotepaw's muzzle. "Eat this. It'll taste horrible, but it'll help with fevers, which are bad." He explained again, quickly grabbing some comfrey and began tearing it up and mixing it with some poppy seeds on a large, dry, oak leaf. "Alrght, final herb meal. This will help with bone strength, and the poppy seeds are to help ease the pain, and they'll make you groggy, and you'll most likely pass out." He declared, sniffing again at Coyotepaw's shoulder.
"This...Hm. Coyotepaw, how much can you move your shoulder? Don't try, just, from the tree to right here, how much could it move? A little? A lot? Not at all?" He was slightly worried that the shoulder had been dislocated now, and that would be horrible for Coyotepaw. Not because he'd be at risk of never walking again, but because replacing the shoulder would be about twenty times more painful.
