Maplesong smiled and shook her head. "I've seen him around, but never met him. Seems nice though. And I'unno, he's about warrior age. I bet he just needs his final assessment and he'll be yours."

Maplesong smiled and looked back to Lotuspetal. "You know..I've been meaning to ask you about this. The other day when I was talking to you and Moonpaw, you both kept twitching your tails, and I highly doubt you both have unrested-tail-syndrome. What was that all about?" She asked curiously, eyes narrowing.

Maplesong's eyes narrowed more, and now her ears began to flick with impatience. "Oh Lotuspetal, I'm not stupid." She mewed dryly, scowl beginning to form. "If you were making fun of me in some way I don't understand, fine. Plenty of cats don't exactly love my presence. But lying to me about anything you may have been signaling about me is far worse than talking about me behind my back." She muttered.
(Ohgod the Maple-Lotus alliance is getting tense. We must fix)

Maplesong eased up a bit, but still didn't like the secrecy. "Mm, I believe you. But next time, save us both the tension and just tell me. I'm a big girl. I can take some violent secrets." She said quietly, glancing back out to the camp, which now buzzed with some activity. "I think I'm gonna take a quick nap so I can catch the Sun-down patrol.." She murmured to Lotuspetal, resting her head on her paws.

Lotuspetal layed next to her and put her head down on the moss. Normally, sleeping early wasn't her thing, but for the sake of Maplesong- and her warmth!- she started driftling into a dark world of dreams.

Maplesong purred at the comfort of Lotuspetal, and then slowly drifted into her nap, and her little dream world.
